Airgun Review Channel Launched
Hey ya, guys!
So, as some of you know, I launched a Youtube channel called “Ted’s Holdover” last summer, under the username “EdgunUSA”. http://www.youtube.com/user/EdgunUSA
Well, my videos caught the attention of Airguns of Arizona, and they have agreed to ship me rifles for review. The first one – due to arrive any day – is the FX Royale 400. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get a review out at least once a month.

How do you get your chrony to work indoors?
Awesome review, as usual.
Hmmm – I’ll put that to the test as best I can. I plan to put 2000 through it with no cleaning before sending it back to AoA. My chrony works indoors because I am a magical being (also, because that room has skylights). 🙂
Darn, I always wanted a Revo but what held me back was feedback that the returned lead dust fouls the cycling after a while.

Thanks guys – and good points all around. I intend to do a pros/cons video detailing the wolf, edgun, and royale. They all have their strong points. In my opinion, the Royale and Edgun are competitors. The wolf is a different sort of animal.
And bear in mind that the wolf and royale were both “out of box” guns for me. The Edgun was shooting 1/2″ groups with the 18’s right out of box. It took a lot of work and research on my part to make it a regular 3/8″ shooter.
And ALL guns will let go a flyer from time to time. The Wolf lets one fly every 20 or so shots. The Edgun and Royale seem to “scatter” one every 10.
what about triple the shot count on “low power”- still about 30 fpe on low- and double the shot count on high power?

It seems that the AW has (at 50 yards) the same accuracy as the Matador but with a lighter pellet that delivers less energy downrange .
At 100 yards the groups are pretty big ( 1,2 ; 1,3 ; 1,6 ctc ) considering the price tag.
The multishot feature adds some points but the overall score is won by Matador.
This is only my opinion so don’t take my words too seriously.
I want to thank Ted for the review. There are many out there about the AW but I’ve waited yours because I know I can trust you and your professionalism, and I was right.
I have no idea. They must have sold the Royale at reduced cost, too. Once I box it up and slap the sticker on it, it’s out of my mind. Just like giving up the foster kids. LOL – okay, bad joke! 😉
You’d think that someone would have contacted me to say “ha ha, I have the Royale”, but you’d be wrong. That’s what I would do, anyway.

Hey Ted, when do you think AoA will be posting your demo gun in their used gun section? just asking- i could always use another one- although i have no idea why!!!!

The 2nd part of the Air Wolf review will go over the features and mechanics of the gun, as well as reveal a bit of chrony information. I usually upload the “overview” video first. But, judging by the number of hits on the FX Royale “Accuracy video” vs. the “Overview and Mechanics” video, you guys are twice as interested in how it shoots vs. how it works.
Fine by me – I’ll get the labor intensive video out of the way, first.
