Q:

Airwolf MCT Shot String using H&N Barracuda Match 21.14

This shot string is the first 50 out of a total of 100 shots. I don’t know how to add more lines to to the chart so I might just post shots 51-100 as a second shot string. I haven’t posted group shots on paper because I can’t find scope rings locally that will work height wise. I ordered some from AoA and it’s on the way.

shots 1-50 on high power with an additional 7″ LDC

No targets until Saturday. Working out of town and I just got my scope and rings today. The Hawke Sidewinder 30 that came with the MCT had a small prob so I sent it to Hawke and just got the replacement today. I also didn’t have any dovetail/11mm rings so had to order from AoA. Everything I found locally wasn’t tall enough to clear the magazine. I’m in class but will post about this new scope later.

TARGETS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! 😯 😀

You can copy the cells that you enter the FPS in and paste them under
the ones you already have and that will give you 100 cells to enter FPS
info and the formulas will be copied and pasted at the same time….
Filling the regulated guns with higher pressures doesn’t increase power…
The only way to increase power with a regulator is to increase the
regulator output…. That is not really advised unless you reeeeeeally
know what you’re doing….. I agree that overfilling the gun for the extra
13 shots is not worth over stressing the system….. The string looks
great….. Can’t wait to see your target results….

cant speak for the mct but i got my airwolf .25 for christmas and went to the local 25 yd indoor range. sighted the sidewinder in and proceeded to shoot 15 five shot groups that could all be covered with a dime. have no chrony but figure with 35.8 gr eunjins im getting very close to 50 fpe. thats 75 shots with no change in poi.

theese truly are awesome guns. anyone currently on the fence needs to just get one.

Hey varminter do a 50 shot string on paper at 50 yards if you really want to rub it in.5 -10 shot groups maybe.lets see what that bad boy will do. 🙂

Oh and i wont be looking at that dam rifle any more , Dam i haven’t even gotten rid of the edgun rash yet. 😥 😈 😈

That’s a sweet ride man , Pretty too. 😉

Holy crap! Thats awesome.

I have to admit that after I saw your first posting I overnighted one from AoA on Thursday to get it here by the weekend. Stupid UPS got delayed 😡 so It’ll be here Monday. Now that I see your numbers, I’m so excited I might just be sick tomorrow…..

If its anything as accurate as my normal Air Wolf, I dont see why I need any other gun…. Might see a bunch of my other guns go up for sale 🙂

Standard deviation is “Pi” 3.14
So it must be perfect 🙄

those are pretty good results. i can see that as long as it accurate as well, its is worth the money.

I wanted to clarify that shot one hundred at 841 psi was after filling to 250 bar. When I filled to the recommended 230 bar, shot one hundred was at 825 psi or 31.96 fpe.

The reason I decided to try 250 bar is because I had heard from an employee at AoA that some were getting good results with the FX Royale when filled to 250 bar. I was just curious and decided to try it on the MCT. I can see doing this to increase your shot count on the Royale but the MCT gets plenty of shots on the recommended 230 bar fill. What I was hoping for with the 250 bar fill was an increase in power but that didn’t really happen so I’ll be sticking to 230 bar.

I would say consistant is an appropriate term…..how can one squeeze 100 shots out of a 3000+ fill and still achieve 850+ with 21gr pellets is nothing short of a miracle…amazing!!!!

Yes it’s correct. Daystate says to fill to 230 bar ( 3336 psi ) but I wanted to see what kind of results filling to 250 bar ( 3626 psi ) would give me. It shot great and I didn’t experience any kind of valve lock. I’ll be calling AoA on Monday to ask if this is bad for it. Until then, I’ll just fill it up to 230 bar. Filling to 250 bar just kept my psi higher for a longer period of time but the psi output on max power remained the same. After 13 shots I was back down to 230 bar. I don’t think 13 shots is worth messing with higher pressures and risking something breaking so I’ll probably just fill it to 230 bar from now on.

I also want to address a rumor I’ve heard. Yes the MCT is capable of shooting over 100 shots per fill when filling to the recommended 230 bar but the extreme spread will not be in the single digits. After shot 100, my extreme spread was 58 and power was down to 841 psi. That’s still 33.21 fpe at shot 100! The shots were very consistent and the decrease in psi was slow and gradual. I will test the MCT’s accuracy at different yardages as soon as I can.

Want one even more…… 😎

Is that start pressure correct??!! 😯 3626psi
