Q:

Aluminum Tank Disc

The stock tank disc is a poor excuse for support for the shoulder piece. I decided I would make an aluminum disc replacement with a threaded insert to mount the Wokbutt or stock shoulder piece to.

THis is a tough 1/4″ thick piece of aluminum I made and it looks to be the answer for the cheesy plastic one.

For those who do not know this Disc is sandwiched in between the butt of the tank and the rubber cover. Then the shoulder piece is bolted to it.

Check it out.

If there is enough interest I will post them in the For Sale Section when I decide on how much and how many.

If people are interested let me know in PM’s.

I just thought it was a good idea who’s time has come.

Count me in 🙂

I’ll take one! 😀

I’ll take one Adam, for sure.

If you put a set screw, it will eliminate the problem of the butt swaying from side to side, correct???

Thanks.

The set screw would have to be mounted on the Wokbutt or stock piece.

They will have to be at least $20 due to I have to turn the disc from aluminum plate and drill and tap it and add a threaded insert.

I will make 5 of them and put them up for sale.

I’ll take one if the price reasonable.

Glue it on with 3M 5200 (fast cure).

I will make them if people want them.

That plastic disc breaks all the time.

But I gotta know what people are willing to pay for them before I commit to a batch of them.

Anyone else want to chime in on this topic ❓

Again I would want one. How much $$?

How much you got?

BTW we could always mount a set screw to lock the Wokbutt in place 😀

I’d pay between $15.00-$25.00 for it.

Here is some picts of how it attaches to the shoulder piece.

First run discounts for all Wok butt owners 😛
