Like said it´s a DAMNED good shooter with a trigger to match its accuracy. If it only wasn´t so ugly and so glumsy then … and i also have hard time getting over the fact it´s an FX – the most over-rated air-rifle (over there – in Europe it´s considered mere middle class though) in History.
Once I get my Edgun collection completed, i will consider trying a bobcat but like coda said only if weaver rail and a good looking wood stock become available. Anybody have a like new 2.5 or a Leyla 😆
Yep. I think it´s a shame it´s so damned ugly and glumsy looking since i know it´s a good shooter. The Cricket – and especially the EdGun – have nothing on its trigger either. I´ve mailed to FX and asked these -to me – very important questions:
– is there a wooden stock in the works ?
– is the newest version going to be equipped with a Weaver scope rail ?
and most importantly
– if i buy the newest Fugly Duckling, and there´s a new stock/new scope rail around the corner, will those new parts fit the existing gun ?
I don´t want to be in a situation where my new Beluga is going to be an old Beluga (much like the song of the EdGun R3, R3.5, R3M #1, R3M #2) the next week so if the parts aren´t interchangeable i´ll wait the newest incarnation.
Why not? Ville…?? i am also, when the gate of importing airguns will no more a big sin i will buy all all brands… i like to have all airguns and versions ….

Just to show everyone that i don´t hate FX/BobCat i´ll order one IF the rumor is true and there´s a wooden stock in the works. I´ve already mailed to Mr. FX about that. I´ll order one – with that Fugly plastic fantastic – and use the stock as a plinking target at the range. This way we´ll see if that horrendous piece is indeed bulletproof – like those who like that disgusting stock have claimed.
This is serious – depending the answer i get from FX i may have a Bobcat under the Xmas tree this year.
