Q:

Another P12 @ Home

Ok she is in! She is looking pretty good folks! I can say this for now that she is fairly quite after taking a few shots out the door and she is pretty light weight with the skeleton body and easy in the hands.

I have taken a few very poor images with my phone… sorry the wife has hidden the camera (mis-placed it that is 😆 )

spare parts and tools

40yd 938fps 21.12gn pellet (I believe this may have been shot prior to the regulator installed she may be shooting to hot when I switch to JSBs but I will see shortly)

More to come from me and everyone else I mean the 19 others….

P12

Mrodair has also indicated that other pellets shoot as good if not better than JSBs in this round of P12 production one the best was a copper plated pellet. With my gun the JSB pellets have not been as consistant as I would like so I have 8 some different pellets coming in to try out with the P12.

ronin, you didnt order a straight shooters kit and have 20 some odd different pellets to try instead of wasting money on stuff that the rifle wont like? whats the matter for you guy?

just playing, but seriously instead of ordering tin after tin trying to find something the rifle likes you shoulda ordered a straight shooters sampler pack in 22 and gone from there and just ordered the tins of pellets the rifle likes and saved some cash buddy

dont forget. because the Ti air tube and a reg you can go above 200 bar. 3200psi is easily acceptable to give you a little more shot count and get the reg to open properly the way its set.

I always fill to 230 bar….

I did go to 250 bar a few times … but u don’t really gain a lot of shots so to speak……id rather just keep it at 220-230 bar fill.

i wouldnt take it above 230-235 bar. i know you loose about 200psi on a cooldown sometimes depending on the ambient temps and how much air you put into the rifle over the ambient air temperature of outdoor conditions.

some people arent aware you can go over 200 bar with the reg and fill to 2800psi to avoid valvelock.

im eagerly awaiting a full unboxing and review from somebody before mine gets ordered, having second thoughts about the 750 price tag now because i can get a at44s again and a pump for less and end up with a bipod while im at it and still have more left over for pellets and a clague ldc

Considering that 880 to 890 has shown over and over again to be optimum for the JSB .25 Kings for top accuracy, the shot count at this velocity is impressive indeed! 😀 Well Done and congrats D!

unfortunately this is a 22 cal we are talking about and 890-910 is the sweet spot for 18.1 jsb jumbo in 22 cal.

given the reg is tuned for 130bar, you really need to take the tube pressure up above 300psi to utilise the regs stock settings otherwise a tune down to 126 at 2800-3000psi is more acceptable if my numbers serve me correctly (probably not but it was worth a number crunch)

37 shots is acceptable for me however since i have to pump currently after every shot. i will see what my number crunching skills say this rifle should be capable of in reality

I was getting 28 shots with mine at 960 with a 6 fps spread….

Turned down to 904 range I was getting 44 shots

Around 890 range I can get somewhere in the 50-55 shots

It’s still a work in progress …

It def has potential I got something else going on right now so I’ll be able to do some more test shortly

I haven’t really done any accuracy testing yet either

That was real world shooting out of the box and no tuning. I do believe this gun has some potential and when I stop the air leak and adjust the Regulator getting it tuned I think it will improve. But, you need to keep in mind that the P12 22 cal @ 30fbls will only have a max shot count of 40-50ish per fill unless your set it for a 12fbls.

My Edgun also shot 1/2″ group shots out of the box at 50 yds using the same 3 shot groups the the only difference was my Edgun was and is shooting HOT.
