Q:

anyone compared the accuracy of the CZub barrel to the CZrep?

Just a mindless curious post. maybe someone has done a comparative-accuracy test? Adds to my post count

Xbangu, that barrel must be aggravating. I hope it gets taken care of for you.

Well… I bought the gun posted here with the Czech barrel that doing one mag one holes at 30y. I received and shoot it as is, it’s doing 1″ to 2″ at 30y. Tried with 16g and 18g and at diff speed, still same results. My R9 .177 springer did a better groups at that distance on same day same time.

I ask him to check test it out, he got me to sent it out to GA to for test/check. Will get it back in a few days, we’ll see then. Barrel is not crowned and machine looks not up to standard on both ends comparing to other rilfes I have/had. And the barrel is chrome or polished but not blue.

Endo,
I consider a CZrep barrel as one Petr imported form a “Czech barrel maker” that used the same button-rifling method used by Lothar Walther. This is what Petr told me. The “CZub” (hammer-forged) barrel is from the same maker (CZ Firearms) of barrels for the AA-CZ200 PCP carbine rifle, and is known for it’s high accuracy. So I feel good that you consider the two as at least equals (my words). The CZub barrel is the one that R&L is using as far as I’ve read.

Darryl,

Can you define “CZ Rep” barrel? Do you mean the barrel from Petr? No one knows the source, except Petr (or someone I don’t know about).
If you are asking Petr’s barrel, yes she shoots well and is better than the CZUB (I guess what you mean is the barrel from Randy R&L).

Petr’s barrel was polished but CZUB is not…this might explain the difference.
