Just about to get our new guns (wife a Talon, me a condor)
Has anyone here ever did anything dumb,Like taking the bottle off wrong or misfired shot there big toe off! lol

Never get complacent. If you always assume the loaded gun is about to go off with or without your help, you’ll naturally treat it with care and avoid accidents. Get comfortable and trust the safety or that “it will be fine for a second” and it’s just a matter of time before you have a story to tell.
smokeyjoe, Make sure to seat the pellet into the breach. Or you might get a Tank dump , were the pellet locks the valve open and dumps all air out of tank.
And you get frost around the breach. Been there done that. 2X Now I use Beeman Pellet seat tool, Got 2 ,One on each gun.

I bet this stuff happens all the time in war, its called friendly fire. I believe I was killed in some sort of a war in my most recent past life by friendly fire. Guns to me in this life seem soo familiar LOL
Dont pull the triger wile loading the top hat could go through your thumb nail and it hurts BAD!!
I heard a story a few years ago of a man in the UK who was shooting squirrels from his kitchen window whilst his wife watched/spotted. Anyway, on one shot he tracked the squirrel across the garden, forgetting that his wife was there, but below the view of the scope. Needless to say, he shot her in the back of the head.
It is fairly fool proof.
I do suggest not trusting the safety and just uncock the gun when not on target.
All you have to do to uncock the gun is push in the safety, push the bolt toward the front of the gun and hold it there. Pull trigger and feel for the hammer to push against the bolt and slowly easing it back onto the top hat.
Then when you want to shoot, push bolt forward, slide back onto top hat and release the safety and pull trigger.
Shot my wall and ceiling in one shot a few days back. Had the gun on the window sill aiming at a squirrel that was running off. Couldn’t get the angle, so I left the gun propped there (cocked with breech open) and crawled out so I could get a better shot. After I got out and looked back I saw the gun start falling backwards. I ducked because I was scared it was going to go off, which it did, but not until it hit the ground and was pointed up. Slanted hole in the wall and little circle in the ceiling. 🙄
Other thing, especially if it’s cold out, be very careful not to hit the trigger with anything if you are loading a pellet. I don’t know if I hit a twig or it was my pinky finger, but I had the breech slam shut on my thumb when it was about 20 degrees out one day. That will make you cuss a lot and hurt a lot more. 🙂
Other than that, just typical firearm sense applies. It’s always loaded, don’t point at anything you don’t want to destroy, don’t suck on the barrel, etc.

Try and shoot your window, door or Chrony instead of your body parts, it’s way more entertaining and far less painful… 😉
Treat it like the real weapon it is and bodily accidents at least should be minimized.
I shot my ceiling with my 10m low power pistol…. 😉
