Tax stamp is only $5.00, so it makes good sense. I’ve always liked the Witness Protection 870’s myself. You can get them w/ a Surefire forend which is handy in the middle of the night.
Lama; I almost bought a Howdah pistol but changed my mind. I thought that an AOW Side-by-Side shotgun would make more sense for a home defense weapon. That way I would have the fun of the Howdah with the practical use of a home defense shotgun (the limitations of a pistol grip noted).

AOW = Any Other Weapon. Basically, any firearm that is much shorter than the regular laws allow (or at least in reference to this thread).
