Q:

AOA called today…

The newly designed FX Bobcats are arriving by air freight tomorrow from Sweeden. I’ll report in the .30 when it gets here 😮

So far the count is 3 squirrels and 21 sparrows with my Standard 30 cal Matador. In one case I only found the head on a sparrow in the snow. I have it on good authority there will be a .30 Predator soon. Not sure on the weight of it yet. I hope it is about 45 grains.

you guys crack me up…especially the part about exploding squirrels. I have a real problem with them too. I moved into this home last December, and I’m up to 28 dead. My wife thinks its funny that I keep track. ups dropped off the package at my home today. But I can’t get there for another 3 hours because I have a work dinner I need to attend. Eek!

If case you missed it. 57 yards on a squirrel in the chest with a JSB 44.75. 👿 Hey it is a large slug.

He wouldn’t be crawling any where soon

Looks like a winner to me!

Have a look at “fx bobcat .30 thread.” I’m going to post my findings there.

Have the same issues with squirrels. Tell my wife I need more / better guns cause its a arms race.

Crumble, I used a .177 as a kid fund alot of squirrels when i skinned them out had been shot 3 or 4 times pellets in them when skinning. I moved up to .22 when I got older less squirrels getting away some crawled up to 6 feet. Predator pellets helped a lot!
I then bought a Marauder in .25 and started hammering the squirrels. I then got .25 predator pellets and could not imagine my results! Body shots, chest shots or head shots they dropped. I want a .30 and I will be waiting for predator pellets in .30
I hate squirrels and want the dead instantly! before anyone starts they destroyed the wiring in my attic almost caused a house fire (it did but was small and went out without us knowing until later). Cost me thousands! then I hired a guy to trap them and they came back! wtf! Now they die on sight! :4: :5:

Crumble or Explode?

microsalamo, did you not hear me? I am a lazy fat ass and wanted it shipped ready to shoot! 😆
I seriously paid a guy to put the padlock on my shed when they delivered it to my house. I had them put it on the bill.
I had him leave keys in mailbox so I could pick them up when I stopped my truck for the mail. :8:
I really enjoy shooting not working on them :4:
hope these pan out really need (want) a .30 for squirrels they get big here ( just like watching them crumble)

No problem Mike. Will do.

Could you also post some pics or details of the scope rail? I have been all over the ‘net searching for details and really can’t find much information at all. My biggest concern is does it require some kind of FX specific scope rings or will it accept rings made to fit standard Weaver/Picatinny rails. ❓

Thanks in advance, Mike

Installation is as easy as screwing them on the end of the shroud. I will post pics tonight or tomorrow morning. They make the gun longer so I don’t think I would want the rifle shipped that way.

Now that sounds very interesting~ Independent, screw-on baffle sections….got to see that in place!!!

dman , i never get hung up on weight of a gun. I am 6’2″ and 255 lbs most guns feel light after dragging my fat ass around all day!
Ugly does not bother me either I want a shooter nothing elsematters to me. I do care about fit which of course helps accuracy.
I guess I need a FX Bobcat .30 . lol can you order extra baffles and have A O A install them? I usually guy gun, mount and scope from them so its ready to go when it gets here! I am also not sure if I need a regulator or not

cannot wait for report I want a .30 bad perfect squirrel medicine! lol
I have been debating Edgin or FX Bobcat leaning towards Bobcat because I do not fix anything I want service! lol I would rather pay thean spend time repairing myself.

I had a .30 BC one of the first 4 in the US. the gun shot amazing!!! i just couldn’t get over the stock and the weight. one hole affair 70 yards all day. Im gonna wait it out for a walnut!! if they can cut the weight down and add a wood stock, FX will trump the Bullpup market. !!!

… I’ll weigh it too
