Are there visable differences between a talon and a condor?
Just bought what was advertised as a condor and went out to shoot it and it wasn’t loud and the pw was turned to its highest setting. I checked the fill pressure and the valve opened at 2800 psi. put 50 shots through it, shooting into my duct seal stop and the pellets were penatrating less than a 2260 with A hot valve. and hardly used any air. If i turn the pw to less than 5 the pellets stick in the barrel. the top hat is out just enough that the breach will just rotate. So the questions are: Without disassembly is there a way to tell which model this is(i.e. serial no. or model no. or physical charactoristics). Do you think a clean and lube will bring it back? or do you think its more serious, such as weak or broken spring.

I know that it is A condor frame and valve as for the rest of it i’ll know when I get it apart and measure the spring and weigh the hammer. I’m sure I’ll find that it is all condor. The guy I bought it from said he bought it new 7 years ago and hasn’t shot it in a year and a half. With the power wheel being cranked all the way up for that long I’m sure the spring has taken a set and should be replaced. The rifle is in real nice shape, no handling marks or wear any where, not evan a tear in the foam on the bottle.
As far as lube, I’ve heard silicone can be abrasive what do you think of lubri-plate lithium grease? I know thats what is recomended for the shoebox compressor.
I don’t have any pics yet and if I did I don’t know how to post them being that I’m pretty computer illiterate.
