Bad Black guns….
I see often on the Yellow and other forums where that people look down upon the ‘tactical’ look of the AF guns. Folks have even gone as far as to make their AF gun look like a toy so as to not look so threatening.
Is this what we have been reduced to? We now WANT our guns to look like toys so we dont alarm our politically correct, neutered neighbors?
Perhaps it’s because I live in the country…. I dont know. It’s not uncommon to see a young boy walking down the road with a rifle and a groundhog he’s shot… or to see a gun rack in a truck…. with guns in it.
It’s sad to me that this country has gotten so afraid of guns that we are reduced to wanting guns that dont look ‘mean’….. fuck, maybe the next big thing with AF will be the Barbie Edition Talon. I bet those will sell like crack cocaine.
Am I the only one bothered by this?

Sounds a lot like the pansies that always want to fly under the radar lest they be confronted by skirt wearing, prius driving, tree hugging, composting, married gay guys…
I’m off to find a liberal and point out that he has no dick…
😆 😆 😆 😉
Guns and killin.
.
And raping, pillaging and killing the native peoples. Lets not forget about that 😀
God Bless America
Yep, people are quickly forgetting what made this country…
Guns and killin.
It’s cool though, they will be the first to go.
Black guns are a big hit in my neighborhood, and I live in Washington too.
I carry the Condor out to the mailbox quite often when I get home from work. I get shots at squirrels a lot of the time.
Only once has anyone stopped to ask about the gun. A neighbor said he had seen me carry the rifle around, but never heard me shoot it. Wanted to know more about it.
He lives across the street, and had a quite puzzled look on his face when I said I shoot quite often, “Hundreds of times a month” I think is what I said.
I let him look the rifle over, and he didnt have much to say and drove off.
He and his wife came over for BBQ a few months later, and I brought out the rifle. He didnt say much, looked at it a few times and finally asked if he could shoot it.
So I loaded it up, handed him the rifle and told him how to take it off safe.
“Feels junky” is all he said after it clicked off. Then he shot and had an odd look on his face. He heard the pellet hit the target board, and noticed how fast it got there, but the gun is of course near silent.
“I told you”, said his wife. LOL
Apparently she had seen me dispatch some of the squirrels around the property, and wanted him to buy “One of those BB guns” to get rid of them on thier land.
I havent talked him into buying one, but I do get exclusive hunting rights in his 5 acres. 😉
None of his neighbors seem to notice.
Exercise your rights or watch them dissolve. Kick ass or kiss ass, make a choice.

When I first moved to Texas many years ago, It was a “Mans” state. It is getting more and more that Men aren’t allowed. Pansies only in many places. Austin. Our capitol is getting very much that way. 👿
Soooo, I moved out into the middle of no where. Now I can shoot a bmg .50 in my front yard if I want to. If I could afford to shoot one. 😆
Oddly enough, when you go to the Gun Show in Austin. Black guns are about all you can find. 😕
Try living in New Jersey…..
I havent pissed in 4 days because my permission hasn’t come in yet 🙁
I certainly agree its a sad state of affairs that people have to be afraid to be seen with a black AIRGUN. But living where I do also makes me understand people being weary of owning anything “tactical” looking. I would never take an airforce rifle out anywhere around here except on VERY private land. I know it sucks, but what can ya do?
I’m not talking about those who look down on the black guns in the name of tradition… thats fine if that is their taste, but what bothers me is the first thought that crosses some folks mind nowadays is “how do I make my gun look less scary to the general populace”
I know times are changin…. but I will say this… I remember seeing many trucks out in the school parking lot with guns in gun racks. We’d go hunting after school and there was nothing said about it. I remember times a teacher asking if ‘anyone has a knife they can borrow’… I remember guys bringing their guns into shop class to work on a stock or such.
Sound like something in the 50’s? nope…. I’m 37 years old.
I’m not denying that is how it is these days… and with all the crazies in the world, I’m not saying it isnt right… I’m saying it’s sad that we got here……
meanwhile…… in my part of the world…. I will stand out on my porch butt nekkid, drunk off my ass, and fire my SKS all I want…. and there isnt shit anyone can say about it. …and dont think I dont appreciate it.
What…. I’m in NC too… I know what you mean. See it quite often here still….
Mr. WHAT..
I have to ask. Is that a military tank rear ending a stargazing telescope ?
I’ve never seen anything like your “Avatar”.
AJC
Because it black and it does not look like toys, LOL. But I loved black rifles 😆 😆
Pab,
Yeah that BSA sure shoots straight. I consider it to be the second best thing to come out of England. The Pink Floyd being the first 😎

looks great in red. i never wanted an air force because of the tactical look and implications, now they’re worth a second look.”

Have to say in this country I find myself being a lot more ‘discreet’ if I’m carrying the AF than when I’ve got a ‘normal’ looking rifle with me. The AF really does attract attention and comments.
80, nice collection there……ya’ freak 😎 😆 😆
Aint that BSA a beaut’ to shoot 😎 😀

I like black guns too, in fact I own 2 right now…but you have to admit some of these dorks that , obviosly have never served in any military service, bolt on so mcuh “tactical” CRAP on their guns that it should be against the law..flashlights, lazers(more than on if possible). Friggin’ gun ends up weighing 18 pounds , and they probably shoot 250 pellets a YEAR …and I know you’ve seen the type, maybe even know one personally 😯 😯 This type has the gun mainly for it’s “SHOCK VALUE” not to take it out and kill squirrels, or compete in matches…No, they have it simply cause it looks bad-ass…..IMHO they are no more screwed up than the F—–TS that buy “colored ” guns… A LOT of this crap is simply manufacturers wanting to make more $$$ They KNOW that regardless of what it is, there’s a bunch of sheeples out there that will buy it…Air Force bring just as quilty as the rest (or maybe MORE guilty)..
ONE of the reasons we all bought an AF gun is because of the “tactical” look..not because it was the cheapest, cause it ain’t!, and not because it’s the most accurate, cause it ain’t, …nope. we bought them cause they look cool….Sit there and tell us that you’re different and you didn’t buy it cause of the looks , all you want to…..but you DO know better!! So do I, HELL I LOVE the look of the TSS..so much that I’ve built a Crosman AS2250 to look just like it!!!!
I’ll never own a “colored” gun, but I’ll never have 3 flashlights, a lazer, a primary and secondary bi-pod.and night vision scope on any of my guns either……..and it goes without saying YMMV !! 😆
