Barrel cleaning
After how many shots you guys decide it’s time to clean the barrel? Specially the .25cal, I know some of you might say when the gun starts shooting crappy groups, but some of us don’t wait till that happend.

I have kept a log on when my .25 cricket loses accuracy. When I first got her I needed to clean it after 150 rounds now I’m up to 300 rounds and she is still holding 1/4 MOA at 50. The gun shoots significantly better when the barrel has been leaded. I have a huge round count through mine and I would not clean the barrel excessively. This is not because I’m lazy, I want the tightest groups possible and my bug shoots better after about 50 rounds following a good cleaning. I think a fair amount would be to clean the gun after a large tin of JSBs. I use Eezox to clean my gun although MAC1 in Gardena tells me to use WD40. Cleaning pellets are for shooting the neighbors cat not cleaning a gun, never use them. A bore snake with the brass brush removed works well.
I put a coat of Ballistol on my guns every two weeks and clean the barrel every other time I do that, so once a month. I stick to this schedule regardless if I shoot a lot of pellets or none. It’s very quick and easy to clean the barrel with a bore snake, so I just go ahead and do it.
I’ve never shot more than 500 pellets through my 25 Cricket without it getting a cleaning so I don’t know how long it could go without one before accuracy would suffer. I’ve never needed to clean it.. I just do.

I have noticed the 25 needs a little more cleaning than the 22, Also the 25 need a few more shots to get it back to zero than the 22,
With the time change its put a huge dent in my shooting, I still plan to put a second box set up and do a bench shoot on the box…
