Bean can advice
Hi guys, can anyone tell me as to whether the Stealth Bean can silencer is strip-able please, and if so, how’s the best way to go about it?

Got the pip today Nick….. Got it installed and I will give it a run tomorrow…. I
took a look at the Brass pip that I had in and it didn’t show any signs of
abuse… Still looked the same as it did the day I put it in……
Thanks again… Nice piece……
Jeff
Will give them a try 🙂 Used a carbide endmill to drill it which worked ok .
their isnt much you can do when working with Titanium execpt run slow and with sharp tools and change them out BEFORE they dull so that you dont work harden the material even carbide dosn’t much care for cutting the stuff…. 👿 👿 👿
Cool!! Nice job!!
Try OSG Nexus or V-Select drills for Ti or stainless. The V-Select are a powdered metal with vanadium.
Possibly 😆
So nutshot, you’re the one who keeps bidding against me for the titanium bar!
Like you say, slow cutting speed and plenty of coolant. One piece I was machining just started to rub against the cutter for a second or two and it hardened up like buggery
Its a hammer pip for a rapid . Its the part of the hammer that hits the valve . Fitting a plastic insert reduces the action noise 😉
Sorry to hijack your thread requoil but Ive got to show Jeff a pic .
Made you this Today Jeff out of Ti6Al4V Titanium with a peek insert . Just got to remove a tiny burr then I`ll post it to you 😉

UUH..what is it? Looks shiny!
Its a bit like machining 316 stainless so not that bad if you go slow and use loads of coolant , tools don`t last long though.
Drilling it was worse than stainless , Normal good quality drills justs scuffed it . And threading it with a die was a right pain . Got to move me garage around so I can get to the gears , Machine cutting the thread will be a lot easier . Ive only got a tiny work area so my pillar drill is wedged right upto the lathe gearbox so its a right ball ache to set it up for threading .

I ran 64 shots across the Combo…. It fell off the regulator @ about shot
51 but I kept going and got 64 shots before I could see a significant POI
change @ 65yds…. I only included the first 50… Check out the
consistancy from shot 8 to 49…
high 880.00
Low 867.00
extreme spread 13.00
Average FPS 874.89
Average FPE 30.77
Std. Deviation 3.29
Looks like there could be an accuracy increase if I lower the fill
pressure…
The pip is working great Nick….
