Q:

Bean can advice

Hi guys, can anyone tell me as to whether the Stealth Bean can silencer is strip-able please, and if so, how’s the best way to go about it?

Thank you nutshot, I shall have to look into the photo hosting sites, its just so easy to browse and select on some sites that I never bothered with photobucket or imageshack before, and sending photo’s via email is also so easy.

Are you a UK guy at all?

Host them on photobucket or imageshack etc then link them to here , Copy the link with ether side and it should show on the thread instead of having to click away

Hi again, I’ve taken a photo of the bean can along side my Storm and an open measuring tape to show its size, but I can’t see how to upload the image, any suggestions please?

That sounds quite small , cant see it working very well whatever you do with it at that size.
Mine was roughly 6″ long and 1 1/2″ wide and adding 2 baffles made it pretty good .

I recently bought the bean can off bbs along with a 12″ 22 barrel, the can itself is in nice condition, but I was surprised that it is only 80mm long with a diameter of about 44mm. I asked a friend who has a Stealth and he tells me they come in 3 different sizes from the factory, his being the largest at 10-1/4″ long with a diameter 1-3/16″, which is about 260mm by 30mm diameter.

Sorry for crossing between measurement units. 😕

Hopefully yours isn`t glued a bad as mine was . Was a right pita to get it opened up . Worth the effort though as its not worth a light in standard form .

Thank you nutshot, I thought they might be threaded along with the loctite, your answer has saved me some grief.

The end caps are glued/ locktighted on . Last one I did I had to get it redhot with a blowlamp (so hot it was burning me through leather welding gloves) then insert a stainless rod through the back and wack it very hard to get the front cap to shift .
