Saw,
One day you probably will be buying your Mac computer at HF.
😀
Yep
I have a Makita 18 v lipo combo kit, actually 2 kits
One for home one for the truck
Carefull with that impact, I twisted the head off a
5/16″ lag bolt with mine when I first got it 😳
The lipo’s really changed the game as far as tools
and I think now cars
I once had a Bosch 18 v nicad driver, shit that thing had
a jetski batt on it 🙄
Ha, kinda cool how shit is changing electric batt wise
I used to have a elect skateboard with nicads
prob 25lbs of batt
Now they have a lipo setup, forgot the detail
but 10lbs lighter, and 40% more gogo
By the way, elect skater way cool, til you crash and burn that is
Believe me, I know

I have some name brand stuff, but most of my workshop is HF and Black and Decker…I have to tell you I’ve been drilling and screwing with the same Black n Decker drill for five years now. Best 30.00 I ever spent, lol. Also had a HF chop saw that I used for light duty, mostly aluminum channel and aluminum race pistons and rods (cut them in half for my plaque art…) It lasted around four years then took a dump. I replaced that one with a Dewalt that I bought on sale….
😆 😆 😆
Fucking classic!!!
I still have the drills, I was going to track down some new batts and give the set to my parents for light use around the house. I got the new 12v impact for screws and the regular drill chuck for holes. The battery is great about the same size as the old LG flip top phones and powerful as fuck.
Saw did you ever work up in the SF bay area?
Hey Gonzo, Home Depot, Lowes and Freidman’s don’t carry end mill bits, you guys have things other places haven’t even heard of. 😉 Most of the stuff I have bought at HF has done really well, granted I stay away from the cheap stuff but that’s the case every time I get tools.

Did not mean to bash HF, good to hear the replacement policy
As a professional though, that trip down to the store for a return
means time to me. Time=$$$$$
Yes, for the average person HF is a great place to buy specialty
equipment. Again sorry for the bashing, WOK and I go at this
3 or 4 times a year, everyone has their own opinion.
Somehow or another HF and Apple are the topic 🙄
It’s all good and thanx for chimeing in
SAW
For the finish stuff, I have a set of 2 Cherries chisels
However I carry a nail cutting hacker chisel in the bags
Buck bros or something, sharpen it with my belt sander
Gotta get a replacement after 5 or so years.
You can still get replacement batts for your cordless
check HD, or Amazon, the newer Lipo’s can’t be beat
though

Ok guys i feel i have to step in on this one. I have been a Store manager for Harbor Freight for some time now. maybe the quality on the product isnt a major bran d quality but it will do its job. we also offer instore replacement plans. kick it, drop it, accidental damage, all wear and tear, use it 24 hours a day it doesnt matter. We will replace it for free no questions asked. lets see one of those other retalers do that and not have to send in or give you hard time. you cant compare the prices and quality and comfort know that no matter what we will take care of you no questions asked. Tube 8, you made me look…
From the looks of it Kermit is already familiar with the whole deal. 😆
So Saw you use them expensive chisels to cut nails? 😆
A friend of mine gave me a Japanese chisel about ten years ago, well I didn’t know it was Japanese until I tried to get the rest of the set online… No fucking way was I going to shell out over a hundred bucks a chisel… It is the best chisel I own though, gets super sharp, stays super sharp and has just the right angle at the handle for making excellent cuts. I’ll go through a few sets of Marples before I get close to half of set of the Japanese ones…
Bought a set of Dewalt cordless drills in 1995, 9.6 volts, JUST replaced them this year after using the shit out of them, the batteries would no longer hold juice, the drills still work great….
No such thing as “High Jacking” here.
That is for sissy gentlement forums and that not us 😛
And you can give a hole bunch of shit to the moderators too
Try this over at the Yellow:
Fuckin WOK, 2 bit HF junkie 🙄 🙄
Just messing with ya WOK 😉

No problems on the highjacking! It makes it less boring this way!! 😯
Yes Saw we get it
Buy good tools.
But if a $3 chisel will do the week end job never to be used again then it would be foolish for them to buy a $25 one.
The China thing is not my point, my point is folks
think they are saving $$$ by going the cheap route
ie Chicago Pnumatic Harbor frieght special, instead of spending a few more bucks on something more like a real tool
Again, just my advice, thats all
Aren’t all computers/cell phones made im China or similar?
I am 100% American, and purchase American made products
when ever possible, sometimes there is no way around it
By the way, nice carrot facial avatar, and keep bearing that dead horse
🙄
Im done, sorry bout the highjack Eddie 😳
SAW
Well Saw if you need some repair on the Makita made in China tools here is their information for Makita’s plant in Jiangsu CHINA 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
http://www.makita.biz/network/china.html
No one is saying buy shitty tools. But to complain about tools simply because they come from China on a computer built with Chinese tools is hysterical! 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛 :horse:

Maybe some day, however I have no reason to buy one
cause it works just fine, 8 years now on the old Mac
couple on the new one, not an issue on either
Just my opinion mind you, thats all
Do what ya gotta do, not my prob
We all have a choice and it really does not matter to me
what other folks choose
we all have control of our own lives, so be it
I will say, back im the Window days I had a real prob getting
Anything done, cause the Window OS sucks
big time, Ha I am checking out
Gotta go to some BS lead paint school for 8 hours tomorrow
not to happy bout it, another way for our Gov to sap
me of more$$$$$$!!
8 hours of pure bullshit. and $265.00 on top
