Discovery 22 with Pump

Dual Fuel Compressed Air / CO2 Air Rifle

Trouble-free, highly accurate. Once it is filled, there is no pumping and no worry about the outdoor temperature. Just shoot until the gun needs to be refilled. The Discovery’s 2000 psi fill level means almost anyone old enough to shoot this rifle will also be able to fill it from the hand pump that comes in the package.

Duel Fuel – An inexpensive CO2 adapter converts this rifle from compressed air to CO2 operation which makes it easy to fill from a standard paintball tank, offering more shots from a single fill. CO2 is excellent for indoor use or for outdoor casual plinking.

Get into precharged guns at an unheard-of price and also get the accuracy of an expensive European target rifle!

Benjamin has bridged the gap and taken the pain out of PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. guns. Not only is this as low a price as you’ll ever find on a PCP/hand pump combo, but it’s so easy to pump up that a wispy teenager could do it!

The Discovery has raised the bar for PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. guns because it uses only 2000 psiPounds per square inch. An expression of pressure. of air. While the European companies race toward higher and higher air pressures, Benjamin is going the opposite direction and making it easier than ever to use a hand pump. If you want to use a scubaA diver’s air tank that is used to fill a precharged airgun. tank or carbon fiber tank, you can do that, too. The Discovery gives you a choice!

The gun comes with a magnificent walnut stock made especially for it. It also has Williams fiber optic front and rear sights and a built-in air pressure gauge. Included in the package is a hand pump that’s easy to use and very clear on showing you when you’ve reached maximum operating pressure.

When you open your box, you’ll see easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand instructions that’ll lead you step-by-step. If you’re an experienced PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. user, you’ll soon see that the Discovery is the easiest PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. you’ve ever used. If you’re new to PCPs, you’ll become a pro in just a few short steps.

If you want to switch to CO2, that’s easy to do. There’s a special tool that lets you quickly and safely exhaust all the high-pressure air (or you can just shoot the air out). Attach the optional CO2The scientific notation for carbon dioxide. adapter (separate purchase), connect it to a paintball CO2The scientific notation for carbon dioxide. tank and fill ‘er up! Now, commence to shootin’!

With high-pressure air, you’ll get about 35 powerful shots before you need to pump up again. On CO2, you’ll get a lot more.

The Discovery is manufactured and built in the U.S.

Walter, so your saying that the Crosman Discovery is NOT compatible with scuba tank. And the Benji buddy bottle has to be used?

The Crosman rep was in fact correct.
The gun is limited to a 2000psi fill pressure. The method of ensuring this is followed is for Crosman to provide a fill system that is regulated to the max fill of 2000psi.
Do not so quickly dismiss what the manufacturer decides to do to mitigate mistakes esp by newbie PCP shooters.
Witha pump you will be so pleased to get 2000psi into the gun it will train you to stop there.
The design is for 2000psi max!
Walter….

I believe J3. I have more faith in the members here than a Crosman rep. I appreciate his setting me straight too. 😀 The discovery has been growing on me. My 11 year old boy has taken a shine to my SS, so I can sort of justify buying a Discovery. And, buying it from Pyramid gives me the opportunity to send it back if I don’t like it.

I have tremendous respect for the opinions of the members of this forum.

SteveinLA, j3 in right. I think the Croman Rep. was mistaken. I would try calling again to see what answer you get from another rep. Or someone that has the Discovery. The pic sure looks like a foster male fitting to me.

I got that information from a Crosman customer service rep. Like I said, I know that a minor detail like that will be worked out soon enough. Thanks for the correction.

Who ever told you it is not compatible with scuba is wrong..the Benji buddy bottle or the gun can both be filled from a scuba…all it takes is a hose and a 1/8 female foster connector…care must be taken not to slam the fill valve with air from a scuba tank though….it is similar to the Bam rifles in the fact that it uses a brass filter screen..A sudden blast of 2500 psi of air can burst it into a bunch of tiny valve locking pieces…i am going to look at the option of tapping the male foster on mine an put a set screw inside ( the way BSA does on ther fill probe )..this will lessen the intial blast when the tank valve is opened…..However at a little over 2000 psi it will not be hard to pump the gun…

OK, so I got nothing better to do…I just called Crosman and asked about the scuba tank compatability. Are you sitting down? The Discovery is NOT compatable with scuba tanks. You will have to purchase a Benjamin tank to refill with HPA, (or, of course pump). I’m sorry, but I must be critical of Crosman for this. I think that it blows chunks! Crosman is a big manufacturing company who knows what is going on and is just trying to force us to buy their equipment.

I know what’s comming though…don’t worry Steve, someone here will make an adapter to allow scuba tank compatability. And to that I say Thanks guys!

I am intrigued with this walnut stocked american beauty, so I went to the Crosman website last night to take another look. I found the HPA/CO2 refil adapter and HPA bottle, (70+ cubic inches…not cubic feet.) It doesn’t look like their adapter will work with a scuba tank 🙁 I hope that I am wrong. I am sure that somebody will pick on me for being too critical, but this is important to me. I don’t want to have to by another cylinder, especially of lesser volume.

It has the same trigger group as a standard 2260…So you can use a 2240,50 or 1377 grip frame and a 1399 stock…My wishes are to use a 2240 grip frame and a Steve C stock with modifications for the manometer. I am waiting to here if the recievers are the same..It has been rumored tht there may have been a change in screw hole location..

If it uses the exact same trigger housing and mounting setup as the 2260, then its also compatible with the 2240/2250 trigger/grip housing which is all you need to attach the shoulder stock.

anyone know if you can swap out the stock stock for that off a 1377,the pistol grip and shoulder stock that is?

Walter, That’s it ❗ ❗ What the ❓
So you been working secretly with Crosman, right ❓
How’s the accuracy ❓
Can ya make it mouse fart quiet ❓

You never cease to amaze. 😉

Thanks Mike 🙂
No I was building PCP conversions before Crosman knew what they were
This is a 2260 converted to PCP to allow me to play in the same game as the Discovery (a 2260 PCP)
I do not have the perch belly stock or the fill guage but my goal will be to see what a 2000psi PCP can do.
Walter…
no chrony data but it disintegrates pellets and is very accurate at 10 yards

Thats just a PCP modified Benjamin Sheridan 392/397/Crosman 22XX….

Stock on the discovery is quite a bit different and so is the breech if you look closely.
