Best .25 Pellet
I see that a lot of people here are getting good results from .25 Kodiaks but I’ve also heard that .25 Diablos are better. Has anyone here compared accuracy on different pellets in this caliber and if so, what was the result. I know it depends on your rifle but I’d still like to hear what you guys think.

Well I just got back from trying out a batch of #3 Buckshot I got today. 5″ groups at 50 yds, pretty much sucked. I also shot some kodiaks, and EJs again. Only this time I had to shoot with my suppressor on today because I had to shoot close to some houses and I didn’t want to upset anyone. Boy did it change POI, low and to the left. At first I thought that it was just because I filled it to 2900 instead of 2800, but even after I shot it down the shots were still in the same place. I did manage to get my first kill. I shot a starling at 50 yds and cratered it.
Has anyone had a similiar problems when using supressors?

i agree…but i just think that its pretty stupid that they have to have a match and a regular…unfortunately i end up buying the match…lol
Varminter I remember reading a post a while back where a guy weighed the two Kodiaks (match Vs. regular) and found the regular actually had less variation. We need someone else with a scale and both Kodiaks to confirm these results. I agree with you though, I wouldn’t spend the extra $$.
Sounds like you can’t go wrong with Kodiaks. Is it worth getting the Kodiak Match vs. regular Kodiaks? They are supposed to be closer in weight tolerances and have a slightly smoother surface. I’m not really sure if this is worth the extra couple of bucks if your not shooting in a competition.
The only three that stays subsonic are 31 gr Kodiak, 35 gr and 42 gr EJ.
Kodiak is the most accurate even at 1040 fps.

I don’t currently have a cronograph. I’m in the process in obtaining one. I think Tony sent me something saying the 42gr EJs were doing right at 1000 with a 2800 psi fill.

T be better than the Kodiaks, they would have to be very good! 😀 Remember that the Beeman Cat. is mostly talking about results in springers. the lighter the pellet in them, the better in such large calibers.
Kod’s are 21 Grains, rather than 21 grams.

My gun is slower then Tonys, but I can get 945 with the ejs, and 867 with 60 grn., these are max numbers and go down hill from there.
SEL; I’ve a Talon/Condor hybrid in .25/24″ bbl made by Tim Wilson. I use Kodiak wad cutters as it’s all I can get over the counter in the back woods of San Diego.
Out to 75 yards they are absolutely devistating on crows and ravens. One shot, dead crow. I don’t know the energy, FPS or the extreme range of the hybrid but results are results.
Point and aim, touch the trigger and another one bites the dust. Priceless. AKULA
