Q:

Best .25 Pellet

I see that a lot of people here are getting good results from .25 Kodiaks but I’ve also heard that .25 Diablos are better. Has anyone here compared accuracy on different pellets in this caliber and if so, what was the result. I know it depends on your rifle but I’d still like to hear what you guys think.

YES i would like some velocity numbers

Are you wanting velocity numbers Selphb?

What type of numbers are you getting??

I recently took possession of a Tony tuned .25 Condor. Before I actually got the rifle I picked up some 42 gr EJ, some 53 gr slugs from Jerry, and some 70 gr slugs from Jerry. After I got the rifle I picked up some kodiaks. I finially got the chance to shoot a couple of days ago and I was totally surprised by the power this .25 Condor possesed. All the above mentioned pellets shot supurbly. The EJs and the Kodiaks were at the top of the list. Both shot 1 whole groups at 40 yds and Jerry’s slugs all shot 1/2 or better.

Yeah, for sure it will have a flatter traj’ as its lighter, but the kodiak will go furthur, more accurately and with better energy retention all because its heavier.
Decently made, well designed and as heavy as you can fire is the pellet for me 😈

Has anyone tried the Beeman Field Target Special (FTS) in this caliber? Beeman claims it has the same accuracy as the Kodiak with a flatter trajectory. I would think the Kodiaks could reach out further since it’s close to 31 grams and the FTS is only 20 grams.

I’ve got five tins of kodiaks on the shelf waiting for my barrel to get back from being cut down, so i’m hoping they work good. Should know soon! 😯
