Best way to hunt AT NIGHT!
For those of you that have a “night hunter” setup, what do you suggest? I want to be able to put a green or red laser on a ground hog or skunk’s head at 50yds…what should I look at? Will I need a flashlight fora light source or stick with laser only?

A powerful flashlight will be needed in most conditions. I have a Surefire G2 Nitrolen and a 6P on two different rifles and I also have a Tacstar.
You can get clones of those on eBay and that way you can use original surefire accessories (bulbs etc) or you can buy a cheaper non OEM part… I didnt want to pay for a surefire LED head for my surefire flashlights so I bought a chinese LED off eBay.
Some people use inova flashlights or the high power flashlights you can get at Walmart etc with good results too.

depends on the conditions and your eyesight of course. With a “Hunter’s Moon” above, you could easily spot a coon at 50. In pitch black conditions, your laser might as well be without batteries. You’ll need some kind of “candle” to go along with that laser.

The problem with lasers is that the dot disappears on many types of animal hair. Gets deflected in brush, and almost impossible to hold over or under in quick fire conditions. A good scope and light work much better!
