Q:

Big Bore airgun blastin at 150 yrds

I will keep this one short as there is nothing to tell really.

OK, except that, my new HP mold is coming along nicely. I had it modified and it was making HP bullets at 287 grs. I found the cavity to be too deep (my fault) and the HP’s were catching major air while in flight and all the weight of the bullet was in the back. I then trimmed the HP pin down, that goes into the mold to make the HP cavity more shallow but stay just as wide. The older pin went down to the second to last bearing groove near the rear of the bullet but since i cut it down, it now only goes to the first bearing groove at the top of the bullet. So know the HP cavity is more shallow and the bullet weight is more centered. But the HP is still WIDE….VERY WIDE. And boy do these things THUMP with authority and the accuracy is MUCH IMPORVED. 1″ groups now at 50 yrds instead of the 3-4 i was getting b4. And the weight went up to 310 grs instead of 287 grs.

Here is a video of me shooting those HP’s at 150 yrds down a closed back road in an area that i frequent. Those bullets and gun still have enough power at that range to SPLIT OPEN a milk jug filled with water like it was only 50 yrds away. What power these modern day airgun have. Its more than my 40 caliber glock shooting hot loads. Believe me, i’ve compared em…lol

Enjoy foks

No, i know you were. But i really do want an expensive HD camera that records in slooow mo.

But the real truth is……….MY WIFE WOULD KICK MY ASS if i spend that money….LOL!

quote Tofazfou:

dvu…man, i wish i could afford to or should i say, JUSTIFY spending more than 300-500 dollars on a video camera just to record a few bullets flying about.

I like the way you think though…lol. Yes, considering the 1000 fps camera. But only MAYBE.

DUDE, I was just kidding 😆 , the videos you did very cool already. Appreciated for all the videos you did, nice job.

What’s there to say that hasn’t already been said?

:8

This video does not have slow mo, but your other videos does. When you replay those in slow mo, it sound fun and cool.

Are you only considering the 1000 FPS? No, I was talking about the 5000 FPS cam, LOL.

I was going to ask you to get the 150,000 FPS comercial cam, LOL.

That’s far for a slug that heavy, how much does it drop that far if it’s sighted for 50 yards around? Cool vid.

LOL…DVU0704…funny you said that. I’m really considering getting a CASIO camera that records video up to 1000 FPS. Instead of the 30 FPS that this camera has. HEEEY, wait a minute, this video doesn’t have any slow mo shots in it……….LOL.

And yeah, one of the factors with that slow mo sound is for one, how slow you slow it down and how much background noise there is. Background noise really makes slow motion video sound funky.

I liked the way the slow mo sounded!!! Especially when you where shooting the soda cans off that log from on top the hill.

Tofazfou,

You have made good videos dude, but your slow motion still too fast, maybe need a new high speed cam to make slow motion work better?

Nice job Tofazfou

Thank u sir

I watched some of your other videos! Cool stuff!

Thanx guys.

Yeah, 150 yrds is far for sure. But me and my buddy paul keep pushing the envelope.

We have managed to hit a few bottles out to 200 yrds with our LIL OLE” BB guns….LOL.

And its amazing to see how much power is still left at that range and beyond. I recently recovered a 320 FP that i shot at a water bottle 200 yrds away. Of course i missed the bottle just to the left but when i saw the TRENCH dug up by the bullet, you would have thought i was shooting closer than 200 yrds away. Then i found the bullet like 3′ past the trench all marred up sitting right on top of the dirt. It was too cool to find that slug.

Right on dude, you nailed it!!

Great stuff, Tofaz… and the scenery is just awesome.

That’t a far piece for an airgun. Good shootin
