Big shout out to Ernest
I received my tuned .25 R3M STD back from Ernest today. Man this gun is so sweet. I didn’t have a mag index problem but he made it a lot smoother and light. Before the cocking was very hard, where one hand was held firmly on the grip and pushing forward while the other hand pulled back on the bolt. Now I can relax around the grip and lightly cock it back with ease. He also fixed my breech o-ring problem. turns out that it required a bigger o-ring than OEM. Before I sent it to Ernest, I’ve replaced the o-ring twice. One blew out of the gun, the next it was still leaking air. With the Neil Clague shroud and LDC I can finally hear what everyone has been hearing which is the hammer slap and slight ping.
Dealing with Ernest has been very enjoyable and his work is very professional. My gun came with shot strings and data.
My regulator was set to 115 Bars
FPS set to 772 (33 fpe) but can easily increased to 880 (44 fpe)
During his test, he filled it to 205B and shot down to 115B
It yielded 54 shots
High 776
Low 767
ES 9FPS
After it fell off the regulator he was able to still get 17 good shots in until it reached 90B. So in total 71 shots. Imagine if I filled it up to 220B!
Overall I am very happy with the gun. He also changed out my HST adjuster to his brand new stainless steel one.

This weather has been crazy Rob. My brother is in Connecticut and has been reporting 0 degrees. I lived in CT and NY for 16 yrs and have never experienced weather like that. My Facebook feed is flooded with friends and family showing their distaste for the weather. It is extra hard for the line of work that you’re in as well. A lot of our plants died when temperatures were in the low 30s.

One potential problem with a super-light trigger is that it may act up as temperature changes. I have a Royale that was set very light and after it got subfreezing, it sometimes would not cock. All them little metal thingies resizing as temperatures fluctuate; had to up the tension. Of course, since Donny lives in the sane climate of FL, he doesn’t need to worry about parts shrinking 😛 Crap, it’s 12 degrees and we’re getting a snow dump tonight. …sigh… shrinking parts again.

The More air you have ( above 220 BARS) the worst it will shoot. Normally you would expect 1 BAR per shot, However too muck back pressure makes crappy groups, efficiency goes out the window. Of course your gun could be different than mine. You dont have to take my word for it. Try it and let us know how well it shoots.

I fill my WST to 200-210 bar as i did with them EG’s. Never had the need to go higher than 220. I fill slowly and the pressure doesn’t drop when i’m done.

Earnest already answered the question. He is using Super Lube. It is a Teflon bearing clear jell.
I have used it for many years for folding knives.

Hey John, I agree with you. What I meant was fill my gun up to 240 and once it settles it’ll probably be around 220. I am not hoping that it stays at 240. In my trial test run today I filled to 230 but then it settled at 210.

Donny, I have filled my .30 to 250 bar, had it settle to 240 and then re-top it to 245 and shot it down to off reg. with no degradation in the quality of the shot string. There does seem to be diminishing returns to high pressure fills in that volume and pressure are not linear during consumption. My 30 std. uses 3.50 to 3.75 bar per shot over the entire string but 10 extra bar at the top of the fill such as 230 to 240 only get 2 extra shots.
