Big shout out to Ernest
I received my tuned .25 R3M STD back from Ernest today. Man this gun is so sweet. I didn’t have a mag index problem but he made it a lot smoother and light. Before the cocking was very hard, where one hand was held firmly on the grip and pushing forward while the other hand pulled back on the bolt. Now I can relax around the grip and lightly cock it back with ease. He also fixed my breech o-ring problem. turns out that it required a bigger o-ring than OEM. Before I sent it to Ernest, I’ve replaced the o-ring twice. One blew out of the gun, the next it was still leaking air. With the Neil Clague shroud and LDC I can finally hear what everyone has been hearing which is the hammer slap and slight ping.
Dealing with Ernest has been very enjoyable and his work is very professional. My gun came with shot strings and data.
My regulator was set to 115 Bars
FPS set to 772 (33 fpe) but can easily increased to 880 (44 fpe)
During his test, he filled it to 205B and shot down to 115B
It yielded 54 shots
High 776
Low 767
ES 9FPS
After it fell off the regulator he was able to still get 17 good shots in until it reached 90B. So in total 71 shots. Imagine if I filled it up to 220B!
Overall I am very happy with the gun. He also changed out my HST adjuster to his brand new stainless steel one.

I use the Honda Moly now but it is kind of dark. What synthetic grease do you use?
1, remove burrs and polish all metal to metal sliding surface to 50,000 grit ( include the mag index lever/plate not on the photo) , see photo of polish parts.
2, apply Super Lube Synthetic Grease.
Filled my gun to 230 bars but by the time I was ready to shoot, it settled at 210b. Shot 10 mags (90 shots) and it reached 90 bars. While shooting the 11th mag, I noticed it starting falling about 1/4 inch below where I was aiming. The 90 shots were consistently on target from 20 yds. I know, that’s nothing but it was just to see how many shots I can get with it. Not bad for a STD model. Next I’ll fill the gun up to 240 and hopefully it’ll settle at 220b and go for the 100th shot.

😆 😆 😆 Believe it or not for competition they set them from 8oz sometimes as low as 2oz but it better be on a rest for that. :biggrinn:
You’re not my MOMMA! J/K, Ernest told me the exact same thing when he first got my gun and puzzled by who horribly set my trigger. I am telling you I like the traditional gun feel to the trigger. I know it won’t get me tight groups but I’ll slowly get into it. I set it up lighter than I had it last time though. Will do more shooting tomorrow then adjust again.
No you should have practiced up on it as it was. That light is necessary for the really tight groups. 😉 Ernest sets them with a light stage 1 so you can still feel the very light stage 2. Its perfect for the home pest shooter. :smilen: A little light if you are carrying it out in the swamp hunting gators. 😎 All of my better airguns and PBs are set like that.
Yes he did clean up the trigger and set it feather light. A little too light for my amateur fingers 🙂 But a couple of turns made it perfect. Some of you guys like it very sensitive, I am not there yet. I like to feel a little resistance before the break.
Cool! It should be nice and quiet setup like that and still have plenty of power for even raccoon sized game. Did he work over the trigger at all?

Hey secoda i use that honda moly 60 too… easy to get and cheap. I did a bunch of reading and digging. seems like a lot of people really like the TS-70 moly
The more % of moly the better they say. and it sticks and doesn’t wear off
