Q:

Black Mambas……Jerry’s Slugs…AAA.25 Condor

My buddy Jerry B. mixed me up a batch of black sure fire pellets exclusive to TalonTunes and they came out NICE!
Here are the 7 ring 70grns compared to Kodiaks…..

With my tuned Condor and custom hammer I was able squeeze out an average 845FPS for a whopping 111FPE….Here is the rifle I used. Custom AAA.25 with custom grips and Wokbutt.
The breech ID was also opened up so the whole pellet seats with an easy push of the thumb.

Just want say a big Thank You to Jerry for some hard hitting slugs.
Thanks, Tony

Yeah, that’s the difference between Talon Tunes and some guy that has a heavy hammer.

I think I should mention that you said you had worked the breach specific for these slugs. That’s a big deal. I know folks here can read but I want to make sure they didn’t let that fact pass by due to any distraction.

Tony, brother! The great unvieling! Awesome. Somewhere, I have some pics I took before I sent those slugs. I’ll have to dig them out as I wasn’t going to say anything untill you were ready. You have a custom gun, custom tuned to shoot custom slugs at big power…and with some style to boot!

If anyone is wondering, no, the black slugs are not available. OK, they are available but you have to ask Tony! These are exclusive Talon Tunes slugs. Even if you bought black slugs years ago, you don’t have these. We refined the color process and the consistency is a notch higher than our normal grade.

The ONLY way to get these slugs is via Talon Tunes.

I had some red ones made a while ago. Still haven’t shot them.

Plenty of time to have both pellets ready. It’s all about stealth. 😀

I’m sorry. This topic got derailed. We are supposed to be reviewing the the Black Mambas……Jerry’s Slugs…AAA.25 Condor

What a great combination. Power and Beauty. Everyone should own both sooner or later.

You need to decide on one animal to hunt at a time. Murphy’s law sucks but tis what it tis 😆

Just so I understand your response. That’s the slowest you can shoot 31 gr out of the same setup used for the 111 fpe ?

My interest is because if I’m out coyote or hog hunting and a squirrel comes along, I don’t want to break the sound barrier or be unstable shooting the squirrel, while my next shot might be the hog. I guess I’m looking for the min max spread when set to go the max with the 7 ring.

Let me tell you a secret.
There are only 2 ways to remove a loaded pellet from the gun.

So the question is, are you going to waste a 7-ring on a squirrel while hog hunting?
Or are you going to hold a kodiak and a 7-ring in your fingers while walking around with an unloaded gun waiting for a hog or squirrel to appear?

You don’t really have a choice do you? Just be careful to not scare the hogs when you shoot that squirrel. 😉

😈 😈 😈

AG….if that’s your situation I would carry a standard flow tank and learn the POI of each tank.
Good Luck, Tony

HOOOLY SMOKES! 😯 111 and a power wheel setting of 5 and change? The only thing missing is the smell of gunpowder. 😆

This rifle will shoot 31 grn Kodiaks at 1095 FPS.
Thanks, Tony

Just curious, what weight are those Kodiaks and can you shoot them at no more than 975 fps with that AAA Condor ?

PS: those 7 ring slugs are hog slayers
