Q:

Bobcat .30 owners

I was wondering if there are any complaints, gripes or regrets on your bobcat .30? I was just curious what your average groups at 50 and 100 yards. You can ballpark it, you don’t have to post pictures or anything unless you want to. Thank you in advace!!!!

Shake it. if the barrel rattles, return it. If not, just shoot it till it falls off….then return it.

Kind regards,

Uncle Hoot:

I don’t own a BC. I get disgusted by its looks and thus i refuse to join the BC bandwagon. Maybe someone with knowledge on the Beluga will chime in. I, myself, have to go and throw up now after discussing this subject.

marineonenine, Sir Ville, Hoot….anyone 😛

For those of you that have owned or played a bit with these Bobcats. How much play, flex, bend or what ever do these barrels have when free floating and get touched or pushed on? My BC 30 moves much more than my edgun or cricket. I dont want to try to fix something that may be the norm for the BC… :confusedn:

… “and just like that he’s gone” …

You DARE mock the ” Hoot: ” ????

Well….I intended to take this information to the grave with me, but now…now, everyone must find out Keyser’s secret!!! “ Keyser Soze ” spelled backwards is “Ezos Resyek“!!!! Unknown to the forum members, Ezos is well known throughout the world.

Furthermore…here is his Facebook page… https://www.facebook.com/ezos.resyek

And…and…by virtue of this message, I am requesting all forum members to send Ezos a “Friend” request! Tell him “Uncle Hoot” sent you, and asks that he tell you “Why does your uncle wear shoes made only from the skin of the Russian Sturgeon!!!” You must use only those exact words to get past his filter, which keeps hangers-on and groupies, from pestering him. Cut and paste it, if you must…but get it right! Place it in the Facebook message box that is present when you send him a friend request.

You will be very surprised at what you find out about our friend/forum member “keyser soze”…very surprised indeed!!! Oh yes….the word “surprised” is to damn Keyser with faint praise!!! Oh yes, indeed…. Did you really think keyser soze, spelled backwards, being a real person, was an accident? I happen to think no one on this forum is that stupid.

Do as I request, and find out the real truth about Keyser!!! I daresay he will never test my patience again…oh no…oh no indeed…..

Kind regards,

Uncle Hoot:

quote Hoot:

Hoot:

HMMM….

The last time Dr. Evil got laid, commercial airliners still had propellers.

Hoot:

Your wisdom has once again fallen over us in all its might. We are not worthy.
So a fat woman is still useful for other things than just as a floating device ?? Marvellous ! This opens a world of opportunities for those lookswise challenged, poor saps around. Even Dr Evil may get lucky.

However, I may toss a few pearls of wisdom before the forum swine once again (will I never learn?) to the effect…

1) Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder…ergo, all Bobcat owners must be partially blind.

2) It weighs as much as my Air Ranger…ergo, I am stupid.

3) .30 caliber pellets are expensive beyond their true value, thus limiting the extemporaneous shooting available to the common forum member.

4) Despite it’s flaws, it is uncannily accurate, and has a wonderful trigger, affectations which also bless the Air Ranger .25 caliber.

5) Since it’s bought with private money, who gives a rat’s ass what everyone else thinks? But that raises the empirical question as to whom would offer a rat’s ass for anything of value? A rat’s ass has no commercial value that I am aware of…I’m not even certain how one would go about obtaining enough to test a marketable venture, but I am looking into the matter further. Perhaps of some use in focusing the sun’s rays for home solar panels? Don’t laugh…it’s never been tried! Remember “Pet Rocks”…and “Hillbilly Teeth”, those fools made a fortune!

6) Owning an FX Bobcat is akin to having a physical relationship with a morbidly obese woman, with bad teeth. Sure she has flaws, but also possesses attributes not to be found in many better looking models, including those with far fewer miles on them. She will start and perform with minimal maintenance, even if she is run hard in the mud and put away wet, she will still be grateful for the attention, and due to her heavy infrastructure and super duty suspension, she can hold up a long time under heavy use in undesirable conditions (think D-9 Caterpillar). In extreme circumstances, one can obtain readily available Haz-Mat gear available on-line to see you through the “close encounter” situations which will inevitably take place. Albeit, in a moment of weakness and passion, and once safely geared up, one must remember to keep muttering, in a deep hoarse breath, the phrase “Bertha…I am your father, come with me to the Dark Side! Here…hold my beer, while I open this bag of flour.“.

So, in closing, we must remember our hobby is not for the faint of heart, nor for those with thin skin. It is for the venture pioneers who possess the grace of movement, the intuition, and the character to embrace distasteful moments…such as stretching out a freshly skinned rat’s ass, and asking one’s self…“Hmmm, can I focus the sun’s rays through this hole to a tiny point, and burn ants alive???” It is for these hardened pioneers of adventure this forum exists.

May I close with these thoughts…If I have unwittingly offended anyone’s sensitivities, fallen below what you perceive to be the intellectual level which you feel is socially acceptable in a scientific forum for a responsible exchange of technical information among informed and educated adults, inadvertently utilized rough or offensive language, inappropriately created mental images which do not fall within your personal, moral, social, or intellectual parameters…then I most humbly beg you to consider this thought….If I really truly gave a shit, would I have posted it in the first place???

It is with kindest regards, and deepest cultural respect towards all the world’s humanity, (except people who look different from me…)

I remain…. Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

I won’t have that ! I’m The Finnish Viper, The Golden Dick frÃ¥n Helsinki, The Beast from the East. How dare you compare my handsome appearance to the Beluga. Shame on you !

As are you.

Kindest regards, your arch-nemesis….

Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

I may have never mentioned this openly but i think the BobCat is very ugly.
