Bobcat shrouded barrel question???
So I bought a used 30 Bobcat to see what the hype is all about with these smooth twist guns. Of course I bought used well Iām just not so sure they are worth $2000 + for a gun but a %30 discount helps with that…
Any who it is much lighter than it looks as people have stated before and surprisingly not that loud as would expect from a 30 caliber and compared to 9mm Evanix its whisper quite. I have not tested its accuracy yet only because those damn dove tail rails. I have some adapters to convert my weaver/picatinny gear over just have not had the time during this busy time of year.
With the question: How sturdy is FX shrouded barrel? Meaning does it have movement/flex when you apply some pressure on it with comparison to the edgun or Cricket? Both my edgun and cricket have some flex to it but the FX seems to have more.
( Now folks I need some good information first then you can give me grief for the ugly baluga purchase :rofl: )

Good question Hag. I try to wait till PA has a % off and free shipping then buy 40-50 tins. I bought my .22s years ago at .59 to .69 cents a box. Still got over 50,000 rounds left.

Even pellets, one of the basic needs of the sport have inflated prices it seems.
Why is it I can buy 50 rounds of good quality .22lr ammo for $2.30 = 350 rounds for $16. That’s 40 grains of lead, a brass casing, primer/powder each round. And this is current price I’m talking at my local mom-n-pop gun shop that does have some. Hell, they had some steel cased Russian ammo called “Junior” for $1.25 a box during the crisis. I bought a thousand rounds I ended up giving away. The primers were corrosive and every three rounds would be a misfire.
Point is, JSB King for example, is ONLY 26 grains of lead. 350 rounds for $17.
Less materials, and what I imagine to be an easier, quicker manufacturing process. Why the extra $?

Exactly! The FX mag is flimsy, badly engineered, ugly and protruding piece of cheap plastics and a weak spring. An overpriced afterthought at best. Ridiculous!
Flimsy plastic FX magazine Sir Ville?? You mean that $90usd+ flimsy plastic magazine? Compare that to a similar magazine of the same materials- Marauder magazine for $15usd. They must put some of that extra special stuff that cost $75 in to the FX mags.. maybe it costs a lot to ship something the size of a poker chip across the sea.. I don’t know.

Zonk, your right, but FX has gone along with AoA’s bullshit. While I’m all for free markets, I think it’s poor business practice to only allow one distributor in the USA.
Seems the sole distributor always jacks up the price, customer service is poor, phones don’t get answered and emails don’t get returned.
It’s not just FX and AoA, yet they are the poster children.
BTW, I think your bobcat looks pretty good !
AOA is the only importer of the cat. They are the one’s who have jacked us over not FX.
