You’re the most interesting “disabled” living at home pothead, in the world!
We need to have someone from a NASA forum post a story on here for us about the time they piloted a shuttle mission so Reaper can tell us of his similar experience..
lol, i have no nasa storys. though i hear the crew of the challenger and columbia are DYING to say something LOL
i have to say haggard, should meet me sometime. you would see pretty fast in person that i have limitations. just because im young doesnt mean anything.
if your lucky you could catch me on a day i cannot move my head, those days end up being weeks of pain afterwards and require assistance to even get out of bed. i get by, and push on. its no laughing matter though when you wake up and people have to help you out of bed because you cant do it yourself.
Reaper, I have to tell ya..

i had looked into building a ultra light back when i was doing the schooling at a community college. but the price was quickly daunting to me, so i backed out of the idea.
i have flown a cessna before though. was learning to fly in a cessna 140. fun little aircraft.
i had a similar experience on a buddys cbr 1000rr about 9 years ago,
went to cross a road i had ridden numerous times and went to make the light, they had been resurfacing the road around that area around the time this happened so right in the middle of this intersection lie a lot of loose rock and small gravel/sand. as i crossed the gravel the rear started to slide out so i dropped the throttle and gave it a tap of the brake (normally this straightens a crotch rocket out at 55mph) and it began sliding. i opened the throttle full bore right as i caught 3rd to try and transfer some weight to the back to lift the front up and stabalize the bike. thats when everything went wrong, bike low sided (at this point i had done everything i could do to save it) and then flipped violently. i had let go by this time but my helmet visor caught the underside of the guard rail and bounced me off the concrete like a super ball and flung into a ton of blackberry bushes. the bike landed further down in the bushes as well.
my buddy was behind me in his honda and watched this terror unfold. i walked away from the wreck, got lucky the blackberrys caught me like a net but i had to be cut out of the bushes. totaled the bike (had been rebuilt 3 times by now, not of my doing). i got lucky the fact that my friend cared more for me then the bike and he focused on me. i still cant appologise enough to the guy for wrecking his bike. hes cool with it but man what a rush. walked with a concussion and a bunch of bruises, im glad i had a helmet on, but then again if i hadnt had one on i woulda missed the guard rail and ended up stopping short of the bushes. helmets are mandatory here. so no choice was given
I had a Yamaha FZR for one summer. Riding home after work one night I dumped it pretty hard. Always took the corner turn onto my road fast because it was fun and I was very familiar with it.. well, county decided to drop gravel there that day. I found out the hard way. I didnt get seriously injured, bruised up the side of my body/ribs, that was enough for me to never hop on it again. Always wear a helmet. We dont have helmet law but I wore one anyway. My helmet looked like someone took a belt sander to it after my wreck and I couldnt have been going faster than 30mph.
I quit riding cicyles awhile back, had a bad wreck but came out with only ten stitches. I’m all atv now. Ride the back roads void of nutz and the police 🙂
I built and flew a home built because of the hassles of renting Piper’s and Cessna’s after a few years at the “big” controlled tower airport nearby (class D). The homebuilt made it a riot out of a private grass strip. 😉 We had fly-ins and our wives pulled our campers to the various private strips for weekend shin digs. We flew in large gaggles sometimes barking on the radios at each other the entire trip. There were some pilots w/o licenses who fly regularly – even in Piper’s and Cessna’s when you get rural. I have never had my license checked but I only have about 500 hours.
lol, so you IFR everything?
ifr not being instrument flight reading but I FOLLOW ROADS? lol
i miss being in the air, too damn expensive and too much red and yellow tape for people to fly by themself anymore. never made it through flight school but it was fun while it lasted.
I got the scooter instead of a more playful bike because I am a fear rider these days. I owned 4 different dirt bikes, used to do a lot of jumping, and was real lucky a few times and then two street bikes in traffic and that just defines insane these days. Now I avoid traffic and fast starts and stops. 😳 Speed is usually my enemy. My scooter cruising is just like my flying was – low and slow. 😉
Back to the ‘pups, when it comes time for service and parts, you’ll likely be less stressed dealing w/ Steve or Ernest than AOA. I tried to contact FX multiple times and they do not have customer support.
that has a lot to do with the fact that AoA is a factory certified dealer here…. the only one in the usa i believe. and because of that they are fatory certified repair and cervice center for them as well.
they dont need the customer service when all the servicing is done by the dealer. the horror stories and hastles posted on the yellow about people repeatedly sending fx rifles back and forth to AoA only to get them back every time with the problem not fixed every time to the point people get tired of it and endeavor the repair themself and end up fixing the simplest issues first try absolutely astounds me.
WWAG and the cricket has my vote, they are very active with the consumer market and strive for excellence.
dont get me wrong, im sure the bobcat is a great gun and all, but id rather not have to deal with playing pickle to get something fixed only to do it myself later down the road. that alone should weigh in and tip the scales in the crickets favor
Theres a Honda in that pic?
Of course, you are not thinking straight now, let’s look at things from another perspective:
She’s human and alive – a big bonus to our friends at NZ. Of course it’s harder to get a good grab with those velcro gloves but there’s bound to be some loose skin you can use to keep her steady.
She can’t outrun you, you can catch her or run away – what ever is preferred.
With that body weight she’s bound to have a car – a big bonus.
With all that cushioning you are not getting your crotch sore from bones sticking out of her pelvis.
Although there’s all that cushioning in the way, the Finnish viper is still bound to find the target.
She may be high maintenance as far as the amount of food goes but she will happily settle for carbohydrate and fat based diet which is cheap to supply.
Am I missing something here?
Jeez! You guys are playing with fire. Do you really want Hoot to unearth his pic of the 3 whales? I had nightmares for weeks. …shudder…..
