Q:

Broken part on my matador

I have a broken plastic rod on my edgun…does anyone know if this part is still made of plastic or has it been upgraded to metal.

Ps. Does anyone know the price of this part?

Ok so I replaced all the washers on my regulator and I’m still leaking air out the little hole on the bottom of the air tube…any way to stop this leak?….a lot of lube?…bigger oring?…..it’s leaking about 1 line on the gauge a day.

Leaking air out of the little hole in the air tube can be caused by 4 o-rings.
2 of the regulator (the one of the setting screw can not cause it)
2 of the reg/valve assemble.
Make sure you clean the spaces where the o-ring is in, check for scratches.
Use plastic or wooden tools to remove the o-rings.

I’ve been there..

Regards, Robert.

Screw you guys!

what I do is use qtips and apply a small amount of lube

?? Where did you get that idea?

Donny has always used tweezers and a Q tip to apply his lube..

I think he is talking about the tiny breathing hole in the air tube. Its right where the regulator sits in the air tube. All regulated guns have this breathing hole.

Correct…that tiny hole made for reg breathing…or ..if there will be an air leaking

That happened to me recently and replaced all the orings on the regulator. If I recall correctly there are 3. Make sure you wiped it clean of any dirt. Put new orings on then what I do is use qtips and apply a small amount of lube around each oring then slide the regulator back in. Mine is holding air like a boss now.

No it’s the little hole past the fill port…in Ernest’s regs assembly video he calls it the tell hole.

When you say little hole at the bottom do you mean the fill port

The plenum has been changed. There are several air holes to allow better air flow. The little washer is supposed to keep the return spring centered.

Well I have to say that it does look like it needs to be that way. The spring tension helps keep the valve closed. The new regulator only has a little washer instead of a bushing.

Brian,

Do you know what purpose this washer serves and why not all regulators have this washer?

I have complete oring kits all labeled for every caliber

You must have some monster triceps right now

No it’s a .22 cal…..I need to buy a whole set of new orings because I have a ever so slight leak coming from the little hole under the air tube….I’ve replaced the 1st oring on the reg 2 times and the Leak went from bad to ever so slight….I dipped the air tube in water to see how many bubbles it makes from that little hole and I get about 1 bubble every 40 seconds or 1 every minute….ill take that compared to a stream of bubbles coming out the way it was.

And just a reminder I’m “HAND PUMPING THIS GUN” so I went from 0 to 200 bar two times today…..my arms are about to explode
