Q:

Broken part on my matador

I have a broken plastic rod on my edgun…does anyone know if this part is still made of plastic or has it been upgraded to metal.

Ps. Does anyone know the price of this part?

Really happy for you my bro .. then go start shooting and enjoy your holiday

Thank you keyser….received the valve stem today, cut it and and installed it….no leaks and the gun shoots just like it did before….huge thanks to everybody!

Good to know Tony.

Main thing for the OP is to make sure he gets the valve stem shaft cut to the right length.

I have all spare parts in stock just in case 🙂

Ernest has them for .22 and .25.

There should be more meat between the bottom of the stem and the notch. That would solve the problem.

I had the valve broken on my .22cal long after almost 3 years and more than 17K shots… or more ..not sure …

But i have more spares..i changed it easily….

There is no difference between the .22 cal and .25 cal .. only the metal part must be cut for the same length of the original broken valve…so..don’t lose this broken..plz

… if someone have it ..let help this brother…to spend his holiday in peace…

Im sorry that i cannot send you one from my oily country… otherwise i have plenty in deed… sorry for that my bro…

Bad luck 😐

But probably Ed should start shipping the guns with a spare one since apparently this is the weakest point of his guns.

Luckily today they are readily available because for the same replacement part for a Lelya I had to wait 12+ months :suprisedn:

I felt something was wrong so I pulled out my combro chrony and it shot 412-410 from 880 so when I took a 3rd shot I heard hissing coming from the breech….and once I removed the reg I found the stem in 2 pieces…I’ve had this edgun for about 4 years now and I’ve put about roughly 10,000 pellets through the 4 years…id have to say that’s good but I’m just upset it happened 4th of July weekend, so now the rest of my days off I can’t shoot it anymore. :sadn:

First broken .22 valve body I have seen. You will need a new valve for sure. Super glue will not work on that polymer. Do you have a picture of the other half so we can see the failure point? How many shots do you think you had before the failure and do you know your reg setting?

Ask Ed or one of the US dealers if they can get you a part. I know Ernest has some .25 valve’s but not sure if the same as the .22. Probably pretty close.

DT

Thanks for the reply guys…I just tried to krazy glue the stem together but after installing it back into the reg it’s leaking air past the stem and exiting through the hole where the brass washer goes

Ed said he makes them from plastic because it increases efficiency by making the valve stem lighter weight.

My bro…

This is still made from the plastic..like it is.. and i have plenty of them…i wish i could send you one as a gift…

Must Kaser or Tony have it
