Bull pup for Coyotes
What would you guys recommend if any? Caliber, velocity, range and noise.

Depends on where you live and the kind of range you need to get but i feel you can never go wrong with a good .308 Shot them all my life, everything from rabbits to elk. If its short range build a aac 300 blackout sbr or build an AK47 both are great yote guns out to 250 yards

Yes season is open year round… Just remember not to shoot them around goat farms… It’s considered a baited field ….

I’ve got a WAR Flex .30 coming in that will be my new hog & coyote gun. Not quite a bullpup at 38″, but it’s shorter than my Cricket .25 w/an LDC.
I bet they’d run like one if you’d start shooting at them……….. :5:

+1 223 or 22-250 or even 243 or 25-06 for yotes
I haven’t tested many loads with this rifle. I’ve kept to recommend loads from the previous owner. Mainly because I’m not sure how long the barrel will hold out until it needs a rechambering, and I’m not sure of round count. The best load I’ve used is 36.0grs of RL-19, 75gr Amax coated with moly. Barrel is 28 inches with Harrell brake screwed on.

Without a doubt the best coyote killing cartridge I’ve used to date is my 40x Remington in .22 dasher, 8 twist krieger 4groove. About every Yote I’ve killed has looked liked a suicide bomber… Not fur friendly.. Not a bull pup either.

I have a long (24″) barrel on the Tikka .223 and it has a 1/8″ twist so i can shoot 85 gr bullets with it very accurately (inside MOA,easy) upto at least 300 meters. You need a real good longrange Coyote caliber ? The 6.5 x 55 Swedish would be my choice every day of the week.
