Q:

Can’t decide between S410 carbine and Beeman Falcon C carbin

I keep going back and forth between these two carbines. I already have an S410 ERB sidelever that I really like. Now I want to get a carbine. I have 3 firearms for sale now and as soon as funds come through i will get the carbine. Both the S410 and the Falcon are about the same size 35″ long and 5.5 pounds. I like the stock better on the Falcon but I will probably build another custom stock if I get the S410. Both seem to be in the 27-30 fpe range; plenty for 50-60 yard rabbits and squirrels and hopefully a turkey in the future. I am currently leaning toward the S410 since I already have an RC machine magazine and single shot adapter that will fit. I think that the Falcon has a little more power but both will serve my needs well. What do you guys think? Has anybody played with both of these guns? If you have either of these guns would you please measure them and let me know the exact length. I find differenr numbers on different sites. Thanks for your help,
Kenny.

You make a very good point Saugus. Thanks.

I think if I already had a 410 extra, and wanted a carbine, I’d give the Facon a try, as opposed to basically getting the same AA rifle but shorter, especially since most reviews put the Falcon right up there with AA. Expand makes/models/styles in your collection kinda thing.

Don’t worry about hijacking the thread; Daddys should brag on their daughters whenever they can!!!!!

For my money, the 4xx. But then again, sell another gun or two and get the gun in the top of the pic! 😀

Either a Rapid or a new AirWolf MCT will be the next for me! (If Ever!!!) 😆

Mike

Let Cyg tell ya what he thinks of the Rapid. 🙂

Yeah didn’t he call it the “Crapid” at first? Went thru heck and more money to get it right… not exactly what you want to hear when getting ready to part with big bucks. It’s strange, I’ve heard similar stories from other owners, but then again I’ve heard rave reviews as well, like it’s the God of airguns. PAG Steve swears by his last time I talked to him. A lot of people do.

Hey njnoodles, I am like you. I am also 39, have an 8 year old daughter( and also an 11 year old daughter) and I am addicted to this air gun hobby. My older daughter enjoys shooting more than my youngest. She even has her own Discovery.

Thanks guys for all your opinions. If I go with a custom stock it won’t actually cost me any money (just time and muscles). My grandfather is a custom stock maker and he will build one for/with me. He made a beautiful stock for my ERB. He let me help with the sanding 😀 . Hey Tachdriver, when you get your Falcon C would you please let me know how long it really is. Thanks,
Kenny.

I have a Falcon C walnut 22cal on the way. I already have the Falcon R 25 cal and it is excellent.

I was able to get a close up inspection of the Falcon Carbine at the shot show (I didn’t want to leave the booth). I loved it, and the stock really is a thing of beauty. The fit an finish is all top-notch. A very, very comfortable gun to wield and shoulder.

(grabbed this pic from another website)

Plain and simple, it is just a drop dead gorgeous carbine with a near-legendary pedigree.
