I use a Best fittings Fill kit. The thread is standard M18x1,5

so the valve on top is a std Joe B/Jubilee/Scuba thread? Or do I need something special?

I was about to pull the trigger on a Ninja tank, but then realized some of their valve are lower pressure, and I’d have to get a special one from them.

Got mine, very high quality :8:

Yeah, no problem.

Paintball bottles have different thread it’s 5/8 -18 unf opposed to breathing air 18×1.5mm

I didn’t know that, thanks for the info. I guess that’s the thread “The Priest” uses then.

I have a hose like that on my 12L bottle at home, but for a backpack fill kit I wanted something a bit more sturdy and tough.

That is the one I have on my 0,5L bottle. that is a good one and not too big but a bit expensive. The bleed push button is ok but difficult to bleed off quietly… Not a big issue for me.
Maybe I vill buy one more valve from there and a 1.1L from Ali

I bougt this hose for my big tank at home. Very nice and thin flexible hose. http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=560

What do you mean? They all have that thread, every link in this topic has that thread

It’s not the same as paintball thread, it’s 18×1.5mm

I have this one http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=619

Very happy with it, had it for a while, but I have upgraded the hose to this longer one so I can tether the gun as well as fill it. http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=187

This one look really nice with a bleed screw instead of a bleed push button but not sure if it is a bigger unit? The other one I have is called “mini cylinder Valve” wich is why I bought it. And it is nice and small.

I think you vil be happy with the 1.1L. Thank you for the link. I will order that one next time. I suppose the treads are the same on the paintball bottles as on the bottles made for breathing? What valve did you buy for your bottle?

That was my plan. But I already see it is a bit too large. I would recommend a smaller one. Maybe 1 or 1,5 if you can find it. I could`t find any smaller , only 0,5L so maybe the best is one or two 0,5L. I already have a 0,5L steel bottle but wanted a bigger but not so heavy bottle to carry in my backpack.

That’s only 2L, are you going to have it with you in the field? If so, let me know how you feel about the weight and size when you get it.
