Q:

Check out these sub-human murdering scum…

Youtube link explains the video, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLKZxdsW69g

and the video here: http://www.livevideo.com/video/520A80743A794A2DA4FA4E3B438A9789/bobby-joe-blythe-lets-his-blac.aspx

Basically the instructor and a pupil bait a guy (perhaps just a jesus freak, but perhaps mentally challanged) and beat him to death on camera.

Apparently no one was brought to justice in the case (happened in 1984) despite this video.

And to be fair the poor guy had some moves under all that arty kung fu hand waving bollocks. The “black belt” is pretty shit, technically speaking.

Did he die then Lang? Even If he didn’t It’s a very savage attack. I’ve seen a vid of some drunk scotish lads fighting. The fuzz turn up well outnumbered and try to break I up. Next thing this one bloke runs across the camera man and flying head butts this one copper. The coppers out cold right away and apparently he was paralyzed due to his injuries 🙁 Just shows how easy these things can happen and having neumerous knees dropped on your head and getting stamped on, I’d be suprised If he was still alive. Even more so If he’s just dragged out side and left to choke on his blood.

It seams more like this man was always going to get a beating, it looks premeditated.

I thought that from the begining. The guys look to be mocking him and the black belt Is following his every move even before they start fighting. There was others there who could have easily stepped In and ended It but they didn’t?

Why Is all this coming to light now then when It was filmed so long ago and how did the video get out??

Its obvious to me that Dennis was instructed by the sissysay to make an example out of Jesus.

They werent counting on him being not so easy to beat up.

This happened 25 years ago? How long ago did this video become public?

having watched that video yesterday and wished i did not i thought maybe watching it again might seam less violent.

nope, not at all. the more you watch it the more it seams that there is something more to this then some bolke turning up for an “open challenge” or “education” event.

It seams more like this man was always going to get a beating, it looks premeditated.

It’s now been aired on US TV and the police are all over it. Reporters went to his door, nobody answered. Undoubtedly those scum are now living in a world of fear. I hope somebody gets to them before the police do and maims them real good. 😡

Drag him out the back door 😯

Gotta say i agree with you guys with the lack of self control shown and i’d love to see that ‘blackbelt’ get some back.

I have never been into punching and kicking but love submission fighting. It dont hurt your fists when they connect with someones head and the person always gets the option to tap.

Beatings like that just are not necessary

As far as I know, there is no evidence on whether the guy died or not, although I do know that there are a LOT of people working on finding that out. There are also a lot of forces at the moment trying to bring those involved to justice. It seems that the video has only recently surfaced and was done so by the Instructor himself via Youtube. Here is a rough transcript that I found:

START

Blythe: …and, uh… he’s a master —

Victim: …(inaudible)…

Blythe: (pointing at victim) — you’re a master, right?

Victim: (very soft, inaudible)

Blythe: You’re what?

Victim: (inaudible)

Blythe: Shin-du-kan? Shin-du-kan priest. He’s a priest. And, uh… he’s here to teach you spiritual movements. OK? Trying to get your mind and your body… together. Right, John? You already didn’t know that, right? (smiles) And like I said, this gentlemen… is a master. Uh… he has no master —

Victim: My master is Jesus Christ.

Blythe: — his master is Jesus Christ. And uh… he got promoted, by Jesus Christ. Right? To uh —

Victim: Well —

Blythe: — tenth degree, red belt.

Victim: — (unclear speech)…

Blythe: OK.

Victim: …the tiger… is a symbol of Jesus Christ —

Blythe: OK.

Victim: (points to his left elbow) — and here, is the tiger.

Blythe: Alright. We’re all in here for knowledge, aren’t we? (louder) We’re all in here for knowledge. Aren’t we, gentlemen?

Blythe: (points off-screen to the right of camera) Thank you very much — (unclear, interrupted by Dennis)

Dennis: (unclear)… when your sensei is talking to y’all.

Blythe: Yeah.

Blythe: Ah… this guy, uh… like I say, he’s a priest. He’s a tenth degree, red belt. And who did you say promoted you to tenth degree, red belt?

Victim: Jesus.

Blythe: Jesus did. OK. Uh… OK. And I know every one of us, would like to be taught by someone that has been taught by Jesus. Correct? John?

John (off-screen): Absolutely.

Blythe: Because I guarantee you, there’s gotta be some movements to — to behold. Right?

Victim: Right. Well, I won’t fight or do anything of that nature, but I can demonstrate.

Blythe: OK, demonstrate on him. (points to Dennis)

Victim: Well, I won’t demonstrate on him. I’ll demonstrate around him.

Blythe: (strolls off-screen) Enjoy demonstrating around him.

Victim: (at Dennis) OK, you can just stand there. Do not make any movements or swearing. (someone sparticular individuals off-screen) I will not touch you. You can just — well, actually I — I think it would be best, to maybe, perhaps if I just perform what is known in (very unclear).

Blythe: (off-screen) We’re all interested in that, aren’t we gentlemen?

Group: Yes, sir.

Blythe: Good, see everybody —

Victim: Do you feel threatened? Threatened? Look, I — I just wish to teach you, I don’t wish to hurt you.

(soft whisper off-screen: god… this is ridiculous)

Dennis: Teach me.

Victim: Well, what you must do is to… just, basically focus on… your hands. Your two hands, and two feet. Stand straight. Just like… (victim stands at “attention” posture)

Dennis: Like this? (kicks victim in groin)

(lots of arm waving from victim, Dennis at fighting stance)

Victim: Don’t do that, any more! (performs fancy ineffectual kicks)

Dennis: (softly) Oh, you’re fighting. You’re fighting, right?

Victim: No! Just don’t do that!

(Dennis performs low round house kick. Victim blocks.)

Victim: Good. I’m not a fighter!

(More arm waving. Victim does a kind of a mid-height side-kick.)

(Victim and Dennis trade several blows. Dennis falls to the ground, but gets up. They continue to trade blows.)

(The two eventually clinch. Victim is down on the ground.)

Dennis: Mother ****er! (continues to punch victim while he is on the ground)

(Dennis drags victim up by his hair, and knees him in the head. They soon square off again.)

Victim: You’re good.

Dennis: Huh?

Victim: You’re good.

Dennis: Oh. (punches victim again)

(The two trade more blows.)

Victim: Don’t grab me (unclear, maybe “high”?) there! That’s — (muffled)

(Dennis pushes victim to the wall at right of camera.)

(Unclear speech from off-screen. Sounds very close to the camera. Perhaps referring to the punching bags next to Dennis and his victim.)

Victim: You got it! You got it, OK?!

(Dennis grabs victim’s foot and lifts it up high toward the victim’s head and the wall. Victim falls down. Dennis kicks him in the head.)

(Dennis continues to kick the victim in the head on the ground. The victim attempts to get up, but is obviously very weakened.)

(Dennis knees the victim in the head. The victim keels over, apparently unconscious. Dennis stomps his head twice more.)

(Off-screen voices say: “OK, OK” and “That’s good.”)

(Victim is rasping while breathing. Very heavy and forced breaths, possibly broken nose. Blood is coming out of his head.)

Blythe: (off-screen voice) Drag him out the back door. Drag him out the back door. Drag him out the back door. Take that, get that… uh… I want the (unclear, “sand” or “stand”) —

(Video cuts to another segment, pointing at the blood trail left behind by the victim.)

Blythe: …We have here… is the trail… of the… Kung Fu master… as he is… departing… my dojo. Taken on 13 December 1984, about 7 pm.

(Video moves outdoors.)

Blythe: And, of course, this is where he got dragged out at.

(Camera zooms in on blood stains on the pink or faded red back door.)

Blythe: Some of the blood on the back door.

END

The “black belt” was a coward with no technique. He and his sensei are only thugs, pieces of crap!!

We used to have people come in and allowed open challenges, however, once someone quit, gave up, tapped out, etc, it was over.
Sure, there were broken legs, arms and even a neck, but only because someone did not “give up” and wanted to prove how tough they were.
I have seen a lot, but this is just stupid.
“IF” the “black belt” was any good at all, he could have “beat” this guy and never injured him.
I did not see ANY technique any below average school yard fighter does not have.
How could he be a black belt, he had NO qualities of one, from technique to his mentality- HE was the looser. (he may have beat a retard, but in “life”, he is nothing but a pussy-looser)

Why didn’t anyone step in?
I am sure the two in the film have already let everyone know how tough they are and they were afraid to step in, even if it meant saving a life or allowing someone to be seriously injured or killed.

People like that “black belt” would not have lasted 10 seconds in our dojo…, literally 10 seconds. Most ended within that time.
The majority of “tough guys” are no where as tough as they are in their own minds and this guy had to “fight” a mentally challenged person so he could feel tough…, c’mon, really.
I would have loved to have the “black belt” walk in and do an open challenge, especially with his aggressive attitude…, he would have not lasted 10 seconds, but his attitude would have got him hurt in the process…, WHAT A LOOSER!!!

quote airtight_python:

It’s wrong what went one here, but how are we sure this guy died from the beating?

You can’t. One of the disadvantage with video – You can only see what was filmed. I didn’t even watch It all. I saw the guy looking back on the blood trail across the floor and that was enough for me, Just sickening! Who knows what happend before they started recording but from what I saw the guy was pritty messed up. For me the guys that stood by and watched and filmed are just as bad for not stepping In…

Watching that made me sick. Beating that guy like that was so fucking wrong it was beyond criminal. What a chicken shit coward joe black belt is. If he did that here in Hawaii, the most he would get is a slap on the wrist.

There’s not much I have watched or seen and wished I hadn’t but that was one thing. When someone’s down and not going anywhere that’s It for me, you give up beating them. They can’t defend them selves and you can really do some damage (as you can see from the vid) . I’ve seen guys get there head stamped on in real life so to speak and It aint nice at all – just seems some people have to go the extra few inches to almost kill or kill in this case which I can’t undertand.

You can see from the begining the black belt wanted It and that’s left me wondering the whole story behind the vid rather than just what has been showed In the vid. Dropping neumerous knees and following up with stamps to the head when he’s allready dazed and KO’d It will only end one way.

Why didn’t the other guys step In sooner to stop them and why was It being filmed? You can see the retard didn’t want any serious trouble yet he still got the black belt down. It would of been easy for him to jump on him then and do the same to him but would the other guys have stepped In then to save there mate? Lots of unanswered questions that your not going to get from that vid….

It’s wrong what went one here, but how are we sure this guy died from the beating?

If I am not mistaken, part of real Black-belt training is control of your anger. This “Black-belt” guy in white quite clearly lost his. He had his opponent beaten and yet continued to attack him and ultimately killed him and for no reason.
I hope they find this asshole and he then gets his own beatdown in prison.

The ‘black-belt’ was already running out of puff after about 30 seconds, and as any fighter knows, if you haven’t put the other guy down and out in the first few seconds stamina is everything.

Black-belt my arse, he was nothing but a fat out-of-shape thug with wannabe pretentions.

The black belt got pissed off coz he got clipped on the head, and by stamping on the black guys head when he was down he somewhat felt it made him the ‘winner.’
