Q:

Colibri Love

Well after a hiatus I am back owning a Kalibrgun…a new to me Colibri. I put an American Defense 20 MOA scope mount on this Ernest tuned Hummingbird. I am in love. here are some photos:

Want to know how I feel about this Colibri? I’ll let Chaz Michael Michaels tell you

i talked with peter, about the humming bird.
i asked him if they were making a short humming bird for EU buyers.

he said, they are not making one. what you guys are looking at is the first humming birds that were made, which was the short ones, they made 75 of them.
two made it here to the U.S.A.

if you look at the pix of the first short humming birds, look at the scope rails & the shape of the stocks. thats is what is in the video, that is not a new bird that you are looking at.

peter told me, also that some parts are made in Russia then shiped too, the czech republic.
too be put together there and sold by cricket.
then add the fact of the geopolitical atmosphere in to the mix. thats why we can’t get them here now.

Ernest, has said that the humming bird is the best over all bullpup, all it needs is a simple little spring too get it working right. :4:

I remember not that long ago Ed thought he was not going to be able to export to the USA. The explanation can be found here in Ed’s post from 2011. Since then a NATO country shot down a Russian war plane. I think airguns are rather minor when compared to the Geopolitical atmosphere.

I do think if the gun is really that good it will make it to the USA,
Everyone likes the American green backs,
May wait for the demand to grow like they did with the Crickets a few years ago,
But really if the gun is that good why keep it out of the USA market, That would only be stupid on there part.
Something’s up,
Mike

Ksfastman, thanks for your effort. Things are not looking good for the baby Hummer in the USA. :sadn:

LarryW 🙄

I don’t think upping it to 200 will do any good, but I’ll ask.

I emailed Kalibrgun to import 100 guns here is their reply

.177 would be cool…… :8: So they are shipping them everywhere but here? 😆

They are definitely beautiful guns. I have a black on black Ernest tuned one and no issues what so ever, as fast as I can cock and pull the trigger. Wish they offer in different calibers as well. For me I would like a .177.

I hate bipods… never use them. The bird is more quiet. The bird has a better regulator. The bird is quicker to load and take follow-up shots. The bird is more comfortable in the hands. The bird has better fit and finish. The bird is more comfortable on the face. I didn’t get it either until I owned one.

Keyser I hear you. You are probably right in everything you said. But other guns that work can do the same thing plus and minus a few things. I would agree the hummer is the best bullpup on paper. When everything is said and done they can not mass produce working reliable models.

The bird is pathetic why waste your time and money on it. You can’t even mount a pod on it. When you get the gizmo to attach the pod it looks awful when detaching it. Don’t know what the hummer can do what I can’t do with the guns I already have. Before you go and fall off your chair just think about this. If it wasn’t pathetic we would be shooting it now. Just saying

I’m feeling your pain…you gave yours up too soon! I kept mine and WWAG had me send it to Ernest for fix at their expense…still got it and it shoots great!

I do sell a ‘gizmo’ to attach the bipod to the hummer air tube. I think it looks good and it will not mark the barrel…but not everyone likes to shoot with a bipod. Hunters, not so, bench shooters love it…LOL

I would think if Kuwait can get them the US can as well.

Cool. I wonder what shipping is from Kuwait?

Unfortunately he won’t ship outside Kuwait. Only sale in Kuwait as per our last comm.
