Is it “4 and 20” in a pie? The old nursery song. Perhaps it was armadillos???

Stop it I’m having withdrawls….. I love rat shooting!

My uneducated opinion comes down to 2 main things. First the gun was modified in an attempt to make it semi-auto. I always thought that the Colibri was a failed semi-auto that they converted to a repeater. According to Ernest he sees it the other way around, it is a repeater that they tried to modify into a semi. This meant that guns often needed tuning before the owner could reliably count on the gun. Ernest in my opinion gave Kalibrgun 1000’s of dollars worth of free R&D to fix the Colibri’s flaws. A gun company should never bring a product to market that was not ready for primetime. Because of this mistake the Colibri’s reputation was damaged. The second item I believe to be responsible for the Colibri’s demise was manufacturing cost. Having owned a couple Crickets and now this Colibri I honestly feel the Cricket quality is not even close to the Colibri. Both great guns, both really accurate for sure but the Colibri workmanship and parts are vastly superior when compared to the Cricket. The two guns were very closely priced so I think there was more profit margin in the Cricket. Supposedly bird is still in production in Russia but that remains to be seen. It is for sure out of the Kalibrgun catalog.

I sure hear a lot of good stuff about this gun.
Why did Kalibrgun stop making it???
Mike

Yes, she has been tune by the man to shoot the 18s at 905. The regulator is very consistent and it hammers critters at the full 33 foot pounds. The gun is very quiet as well.

sweet gun soze, what pellets u using 18 jsb? 🙄

Oh set your regulator at 130 and turn the HST to the bottom then back it out on full turn. Mine is shooting 930 with that set up. Ernest is going to turn it down to 900 for me for noise and shot count.

Hoot you can turn it up but I’m not sure you’ll gain much I corresponded with Evengy and he really felt like the Vulcan was max’d out at around 930 shooting the kings.

:hoot:

Knumbnutts….I’m just trying to get mine up to 930 fps shooting the Kings. Right now the best I get is around 870 fps. Any ideas???

Regards,

Hoot:

I really love mine. Wish they had made a .25

Looks to be worth the money for certain. To date, the Colibri and the Vulcan have been the best featured pcp’s on the market. The H’bird was the quietest pcp I ever shot.

My favorite remains the Leyla…

Tell me how to adjust the regulator upwards on my .25 Vulcan…
