Q:

Compared my herd this morning.

I did some shooting this morning in the freezing cold, calm weather….
I decided to shoot my 4 guns to see how they stacked up against each
other. All targets are at 65yds and none of the pellets were sorted or
weighed. Seems I need to do some work on my hold.. Seems my POI
shifted slightly through the groups on at least 3 of the targets.

1st is 25 shots from the EDgun shooting JSB 18.1gr

2nd is the 20 shots from the BSA Super Ten shooting JSB 15.9gr

3rd is 24 shots from the Rapid shooting JSB 15.9gr

4th is 24 shots from the Beeman Falcon Rs shooting JSB 15.9gr

5th is 24 shots from the Rapid shooting 18.1gr
Notice to 2 fliers on the upper left…I shot 2 full clips and both of those
were the last pellet in the clip…I think my clip is mangling the last pellet
somehow..

I ‘m glad your enjoying your new toy,

can you turn the edgun down to 450 fps to 850 for 15 grain pell that dont like vel over 850
, then turn around and tune it to 1000 fps with 32 g. pellets.

I think someone like me who cant leave things alone and wants to play with different pellet weights for different applications would not do well with this gun if i did not have another.

This gun seems to be just right for someone that wants to shoot the 18 grain and not play around, about the best for this or am i wrong.

The gun is very easily tuned…. You could basically mark the main spring
adjuster and just change it before you load what ever pellet you were
going to shoot…. One screw to remove the stock and a small set screw
that secures the main spring adjuster and you can set it for what you
want…. It will go from 925FPS down to 600FPS with 18.1gr.. No way you
would get 1,000FPS out of it…. If you try to get more out of it the FPS
starts to drop off and you start waisting air…..

AGAIN !!! WARNING ” Do “NOT” adjust your guns without the written
consent of the manufacturer’s representative…

You have some awesome rifles, the envy of many of us airgun nuts!!! And the groups you’ve posted are impressive, all of them. I, like many of others, am suffering from the Edgun fever. Please give me your opinion as to the accuracy that can be achieved with the Edgun versus others. I have several PCPs including a newly purchased AA S410, which I love. However, I am drawn to the Edgun. None of my rifles are regulated and I am curious as to the benefit this provides. Please give me your opinion as to comparison.

Thanks!

Thanks Gpace, I have been through many guns so far and I have
narrowed it down to these 4… I find that they are the best of the best for
me….. The EDgun is an amazing gun. The accuracy is unbelievable and
consistant…. I have shot it at 65, 80 and 100 yds with great results that
compare and possibly exceed my Rapid.. The regulator allows each shot
to be withing 2-3FPS of each other and also increases the shot count as
the regulator does not waist any air…. Mine is using approximately 21PSI
per shot… I would have to say that the EDgun is the only gun you
need…. If I had to, I would sell all of my other guns to purchase an
EDgun….

Here is my herd all together….

Here are some 65yd targets from this morning.
The 1st one is the EDgun with a slight right to left wind but, it was pretty
steady. The EDgun was secured in my bench rest with a pad for the rear
of the stock… Now that is a tight group. I think it is 10 shots but it could
be 15…I lost count….

2nd and 3rd are Rapid groups.. I tried to secure it in the bench rest but
the stock is just a hair too thin… It would not hold tight like the EDgun
but I did have the pad for the rear of the stock and it helped… The wind
had really picked up and started to swirl so this is still not a good
example of what the Rapid is capable of but it definately shows a lot of
potential…. This is 24 shots

I am pretty sure that shot on the bottom was the last pellet in the clip so
I am not sure if I have solved the last pellet flier problem…
This is 12 shots.

😆

You have an keen and unusual understanding of the obvious knife….lol
😆 😆 😆

I guess if not, I would just load 11 pellets. 😉

can the clip be disassembled? May be a burr in that chamber.

I think I found the problem….The spring has 3 different adjustment holes
so, I reduced the amount of tension on the spring and it does not slam
the last pellet as hard now….We will see if that helps…

Thanks for the prod LMTSS..

You are welcome. Just a Lucky guess, I guess. 😀

Thanks synopsys,

I need to get that “last pellet in the clip” thing figured out…You can see
them on targets 1-9… It is the flier that is sitting out all by itself in each
group…. I even stopped after shot #11 to look at the last pellet and it
looked fine so I thought it would be ok…. Well it flew out too…. Somehow
the last pellet is getting damaged when it gets pushed out of the clip…

Sure can…I’ll check that out…
