Compared my herd this morning.
I did some shooting this morning in the freezing cold, calm weather….
I decided to shoot my 4 guns to see how they stacked up against each
other. All targets are at 65yds and none of the pellets were sorted or
weighed. Seems I need to do some work on my hold.. Seems my POI
shifted slightly through the groups on at least 3 of the targets.
1st is 25 shots from the EDgun shooting JSB 18.1gr
2nd is the 20 shots from the BSA Super Ten shooting JSB 15.9gr
3rd is 24 shots from the Rapid shooting JSB 15.9gr
4th is 24 shots from the Beeman Falcon Rs shooting JSB 15.9gr
5th is 24 shots from the Rapid shooting 18.1gr
Notice to 2 fliers on the upper left…I shot 2 full clips and both of those
were the last pellet in the clip…I think my clip is mangling the last pellet
somehow..

I just was wondering if the Mac1 would do well in colder temperatures and if the stock had any advantages over the more traditional stocks listed. The EdGun looks to have a pretty compact platform for more stability. Would you say you have more time on one rifle over the other? Less time on one?
I wish I had another ag to do this type of test. Like you said it shows more of the shooter than the rifle and for improving your overall shooting form you have to shoot more than one rifle… From the looks your groups your kicking some ass!!! 20-24 shots per group is a lot of shots.
Which one killed the clad quarter? 😆
Most of my time has been on the Falcon, then the S10, then a toss up between the EDgun and Rapid….
The quarter was killed by one of my Condors @ 65yds….lol
I got some extra time in with the Rapid today @ 100yds…. For some
reason the last pellet in every clip flies off… I still haven’t figured that
out…I noticed it this morning….
These are 12 shot groups in the prone position from the bipod… I think I
circled the shots that went together…

Well by the looks of my groups, I would say it would have been right
there with the rest of them….These groups do not represent the true
precision of any of these guns…. As you can see, there are some really
tight small groups within the big groups….If I could hold a steady POI or
set the guns up on sand bags I think you would see a whole different
story…. I can’t blame the guns for the size of the groups… I am going to
blame it on early morning brain fog, and freezing weather.. LOL 😯
Cool comparison, how do you think the Mac1 would have faired? 😯
My BSA and Leapers scopes really got screwy with the 40deg
temperature difference going from inside the house to outside. It
was impossible to set the parallax/focus.. Seems that it was changing
the whole time I was shooting… It would probably be a good idea to
have the rifle outside so that it can get acclimated for before trying to
shoot…
You own some very nice air rifles. With such a beautiful herd, I think it’s time for you do get yourself some better glass! 😆
I think the temp makes a difference, seems my point of impact changes and tank pressure changes make the vel. different.
Had my condor set right were i wanted it and the temp dropped 35deg. now it is different fps and had to re zero.

😆 My 0.177 18″ barreled Talon SS would need the whole page for one group alone! 😆
