Condor acting up (not)
I filled the condor to 2800 psi and I was getting 850 psi or so for the first 20 shots and then the gun leveled off and starts shooting a pretty consistent 1120 psi or so. What is the cause of this? Could this be a problem with the tophat or is it time to send the gun in.

I have to be disciplined about the handling of the Condor. I keep having the thoughts that “I can make it better”. And as long as I restrain myself, I know it will be a great shooter. I don’t know what it is about this gun but it just seems to be begging to me to keep tuning it even finer. I am taking her out Friday again to see just what I can do at 100 yds and I have to just keep my hands off of the main controls.. I will try to restrain myself. 😆
I got my Talon SS where it is at and do not tinker with it….AT ALL. And it has never given me a problem. I make 1 change at a time and shoot, before I make another. This always me to correct a problem instead of adding them together.

There have been times when I have said this Condor is POS only to find there were other factors involved such as a dirty barrel, shroud clipping, bad scope and mount, or just me not doing my part.
Then after a few days I tear into her only to find the problem and then BINGO she shoots like a dream.
Biggest problem I have is I need to STOP tinkering and just shoot the damn thing. 8)
All in all I love the design good and bad and enjoy watching the rimfire crowd when I smack a metal spinner with authority. 😆

You have really summed up the true character of the Condor my friend. I have one of the big dollar guns (EV-2) that I do nothing but put air in it and I shoot 10’s.. I wouldn’t think of tinkering with it. It does get a little monotonous. On the other hand, with the Condor, It requires a little gray matter and knowledge of how to finesse the workings of the gun. One has a tendency to take a little pride in oneself when you have the gun dialed in and you get that near perfect 10 or 15 shot curve that compares to guns 3 times its value. When you compare this 50 ft lb gun to the 12 ft lb of the high dollar guns, there is really no comparison due to the fact that there is a great satisfaction that you have conquered the Condor… For a while anyway. !?!?!?!

Great news, nothing is easy about this platform but if you take to your time the pay back will make you smile. The reality is to get the huge power in a platform for 600.00 it can’t be expected to perform like a AG with half the power or costs 2 to 3 times more.
All in all my Condor is a keeper as I have always liked to tinker as I feel WAY more accomplished then dropping 1200.00 on a gun with half the power that does it all for me but cannot be touched out of fear of not getting parts or support.
Pellets, clean barrel, fill pressure, and knowing the gun’s shot count bell curve is the secret.

You are correct about taking my time. I am going to get to know this Condor in the proper way and that by watching it grow up as if it were a child. Give it a lot of love and buy it nice gifts as we go along together. A few here and a few there.. I have a project going on now and who know what will be next.
Yah take your time learn the gun then do single mods as I did a shroud, hammer, barrel, an scope and even the mount all at the same time and had a hell of a time figuring out why it shot like crap!! Ended doing one at a time till I found it was a combination of things.

Thanks for the replies guys.. I pretty much have the Condor dialed in now and pretty happy with it.. I will continue to shoot it as is and see just what I have before I start adding mods to it.. I would imagine it is like the rest of my guns, down the road a ways I will be kicking up the action of the rig quite a bit.. Keep it stock for a while and then really appreciate it when I get the tune job done..

The Hammer is $55.00 on Tony’s site. Can you do it yourself? I removed my barrel (from Talon SS 7 screws) once the barrel was out the power wheel, spring and hammer pretty much, slid right outa Her.
Super easy a few grub screws 5 to 10 minute swap out around 55.00.
I can spit 37 grain pellets out around 1000 fps really messes with fur and feathers past 100 yards. 8)

It is $55 for a tony hammer. To get the hammer out you need to first remove the 4 set screws and take the barrel out. Then remove the screw that holds the PW in place, and slide the PW and hammer spring out. The hammer should just slide out, but it may need some motivation.
