Condor Power Wheel/Settings Not Working – Need Help
I have to say I love this gun. It’s a .22 Condor that is stock and only four months old. I originally purchased it with the CO2 but have recently switched to the high flow Condor tank. I’m shooting JSB exacts 18.1gr. The problem is the Condor Power Wheel when adjusted is not making any difference according to my recently purchased Chrony.
I filled my tank and shot 10 shots at power level 12 and the results are below

The High Flow Condor Tank is 45 days old. The tank is always filled to 3000psi

Sam – My gun is completely stock.
What ‘s the top hat setting at.have you moved it from the factory setting.
Your fps is maxed and it falls from there.?? but you should be able to easily get well over 1000 out of the 18 g pellets, starting at 3000 with 12 power wheel it would start pretty high fps then drop off.
but with 3000 fill and say 6 power wheel it should be eratick with a few starting rounds then settle in at a lower fps then work up in fps.
Is this a from the factory gun?
you sure everything is in right.
That’s not typical, my rifle with 3000psi fill and pw @ 12 would have valve lock for the first 6 or so shots and then go super sonic for the next 20 or so shots. It would crack like a rimfire and shoot like a shotgun.
With a 2800 psi fill and pw above 6, 21 grain Kokiaks go super sonic. So I use a 2800 fill with pw @ 6 or less to maintain accuracy. Not normal, uh.
Seems you should get more deviation between power level 1 & 12.
Yes the hammer weight should be between the spring and hammer! Are you using the stock hammer weight and hammer?

This test was performed after cleaning the barrel/hammer.. I only have one 1/2″ spacer right behind the hammer, is that correct?

Thanks for all your suggestions… I’ll shoot a larger string today and post the results…
Give us some more to look at, do a 30 shot string and post the out come.
If you look at your velocities it is lower , but at 3000 psi and the light pellet you wont see much difference on adjustment.
With the 18 grain pellet and the condor valve, your peak velocity will be around 2100 to 2300 psi and this will be over 1000 fps,to 1100 or so. which is to fast for peak accuracy.
where you are at is the beginning of a long bell curve and the velocity will rise until it reaches these numbers.
Most have had ther best luck with the 18 grain jsb in the low 900’s, to mid 900’s ,this will peak at around 2000 to 2100 fill for your gun and top hat at around .085 or so. and power wheel 4.6 to 6,
After set up for this peak velocity in the 930’s or so you can fine tune with the power wheel , top hat, and fill over the 2000 tank fill a little for some shot count,
This is all with my gun, so this gives you a guideline to use if you wish .and if you do a search you can find all you need within this forum, good luck.
Actually that veloity seems low for the 18 grain Exact and high flow valve.
I get over 1000FPS with the Talon valve and 24 inch barrel and condor hammer.

They call it a “Power Wheel” but in reality it is a main spring preload compressor.
Once you have it in the lowest setting that gives you the FPS you want. Leave it there and forget about it.

It looks like the 0 hammer spring setting is still over powering your tank
valve…. I think you would see a difference if you use a higher fill pressure
although, those numbers are perfect for the 18.1gr pellet….. Once you start to
get into the 1,000FPS range you will start to see the accuracy go away….
Are you filling to 2800 or 3000. The shots from 3000 psi to 2800 psi are flakey in my gun and settles down after 2800, takes about 10 shots.

Try 0, the spread you are getting is sensational on power 1, with the gun shooting like that you don’t need the powerwheel.
