Convince me NOT to get a bullpup Vulcan 25!
Yes, I want to hear the real honest issues out there from folks who owns the Vulcan or any of its variations.

Let’s try to answer the following question: what’s the price of the gun and what’s the price of the barrel which is THE MOST important part of the gun?
Saltwater, show us your barrel.
Will try to remember to undress it and snap some pics this evening when I get home… however, it can be egg shaped and have rifling cut with a hack saw as far as I am concerned… a starling’s head at 50 yards is still a dependable mark. Frankly haven’t looked at it and only cleaned it once since I got it from Tony a few months back. This is my “shooting bench” :8:

Maybe I am confused.
My Vulcan .25 is firing JSB kings 25.39 grains at around 900 fps. Appx 45fpe. Nothing unusual with that.
Accuracy ,I am not a good shot.
Hits sugar cubes at 100 yards appx 4 shots out of 5.
One inch group not hugely difficult.
Others Who fire at longer ranges like Keysersoze have shot amazing groups at 200 plus yards.
I am still developing my 200 yard range at home so cannot as yet duplicate his shooting.
Anyone who says the V .25 in standard trim is not an execptional long range gun has never fired one. Longer barrels in PCP are not needed for long range shooting,
There maybe confusion around about a longer barrel due to the extended shroud now avaailable.

Yeah, that guy from AirgunNation can hit targets at the distance but he cannot make a good group at 50 yards.

But a Vulcan tuned to sub 12ft Ib’s would have an epic shot count, and in the hands of the the euro “lads” would kick arse.
My only gripe with the Vulcan Tactic is that it is a beast weight wise.

You need to take those Euro boyz (lads as they call themselves :suprisedn: :winkn: ) with a serious grain of salt… They are shooting 12 FPE guns for the most part… That is a waste of design and capabilities for a Vulcan. I DO have a .25 vulcan and it is indeed one hole accurate for me at 40-50 yards. I use it to keep the starlings/sparrows off my Martin houses. With my office door open at my home, I can sit in my desk chair with my Vulcan on a Caldweld Dead Shot Magnum Field Pod and explode their heads consistently. I bought the gun because I’m a lefty and my Crickets are uncomfortable to bench shoot with the cocking lever pretty much dead center of my natural cheek weld… I am VERY satisfied with my Vulcan. I really haven’t done anything to it so far but shoot it. It is a BULLPUP! It’s supposed to be SHORT… the assertion that it’s too short is about as ignorant as you can get. It’s lighter, faster to aim and just as accurate as my Cricket .25 that is Earnest tuned… And last but not least, Airgun Technologies customer service is second to none! He takes care of his customers from across the pond for us here in the US better than many local dealers of the other high end guns.
The more I read real-world posts like this, the more I am convinced that I will not regret getting a bullpup Vulcan .25.

No, I am not saying that.
However, with reference to the linked report, with that kind of barrel, I will not be surprised if one can not find true accuracy at long ranges.
Since the post was made over at AirgunNation, I take it with a grain of salt.
I do not think I can like a barrel like this for an expensive Vulcan, if this was indeed true.
But, as the author claimed, hitting a 3 inch target 8 times out of 10 at 160 yards is superb shooting, both the gun and the shooter. It is really something very positive for the Vulcan.
Just look at the barrel. It should tell you the story.

Of course, a barrel like that can never be accurate.
Therefore, that report should be read with a lot of salt… which is not healthy.
Why can’t people be frank and honest when we post something about a product in our hobby line?

NH, I really wanted to hear a much better reason than that why I should stay away from a Vulcan bpup cal .25.
perhaps… someone might have said, the Vulcan bullpup cal .22 is better or maybe the Impact… or anything else.
