Q:

Cricket Bugs

My sweet little Cricket rifle has a LARGE bug in the mix… 🙁 🙁 🙁

THE FILL PROBE SUCKS……. 👿

Zocoloco covered this very well in his write up compairing the Edgun to the Cricket. The problem lies in the size of the base of the fill probe. Yes size does matter… 😀 Where the fill probe mates up to a foster adapter there is not enough surface area to make a good air tight seal. This surface is smaller than a standard foster gasket seal.

Can it be made to work ❓ yes but when you spend big bucks for an air rifle of this quality you should not have to jump through hoop just to be able to fill it with air.. 😳

Pyamydair sell a foster adapter with a seal in the bottom of the apapter which should fix the problem. But this issue should of been fixed by Kalibr long ago. A simple note explaning what is need to make their fill probe work would also been nice.

Yes I’m upset about this hold up in being able to shoot my new rifle. I still think it’s a cool little rifle that shoots really well with what little air came in it. :banghead:

No offense(saying that to be polite) but seriously man up and dry your eyes. This issue was adressed months ago and you should have been well aware you need Pyramyd Delrin version. Order the adapter that’s readily available from Pyramyd with the Delrin seal or easy make your own Delrin spacer. It’s a better design idea than the rubber washer version anyway IMHO. Its what I use on both my Edgun fill probes. No hoops to jump through as you need to order adapter anyway nor some special order part(just another part). If you really want to complain about something and demand justice, then cry about non standardized probes in general across all makers. Geez 🙂

Did you try Teflon tape on the threads?

I ordered mine from PA after I read the post about it and it showed up yesterday. Now I have everything for it when it arrives 😉
