Q:

Cricket Mistake

Hi guys and gals. Just going to ramble a minute. No bashing but an honest thought. I have a Benjamin Marauder Prod and have been quite happy with it. Being able to afford it and hearing all the good things coming on the P12 I put in for it but subsequently cancelled it. Bought a Cricket standard with the black synthetic stock but traded stock for the wood one. Soeee now I have a cricket in .22 with the wooden stock with the magazine holder. The point of this post is this. When push comes to shove I go back to my Prod. Yea the Cricket is ACCURATE, 30 FPE = 876FPS FOR 18.3 GRAINS But, I am 67 years old, have bad shoulders with surgery = weak. With all the good things about the Cricket, the weight for a sore old man is a little to much. I always end up going back to the lightweight PROD. I should add that I do not shoot for distances over 40 to 50 yards so the Prod is adequate whereas the Cricket is overkill. I am sure going to miss the Crickets quality and maybe even the heft, just feels solid BUT for me I think a lighter piece is in the future. Now the question is this, what is the lightest carbine style, short, small, good HPA out there. Thanks for any help and Cricket will be posted soon as I can take pictures.

I did mine also thanks to Ville’s advice. Which I hate to mention by the way…..

After re-reading what you just said and spotting that curly grey pubic hair just behind your mag well I have come to the the conclusion you must really “LOVE” your cricket.. that makes you almost as sick as that that Finnish herring humper who may have been right just once but this is yet to be clarified… 😯

 Just once..

Ville was right? when did this event in history take place? 😯

Dunk, Have you ever loaded or reloaded a mag on a cricket?

Oh I LOVE it when Ville’s right………………………………… :angrymob:

Think , man. Think ! :butkick:

Alright, dum it down for an ole fart. What does that grinding actually do for reloading?

Makes reloading mags a cinch, can even do it one handed.

Don’t hate Brother. πŸ˜‰

Never held the P 12. There’s actually a good , easy fix for that mag change / loading problem. One grinds a recess for the mag axle so it can stay in its rearmost position without holding. Did that to mine and it’s 10 times better now.

Please email a picture of your modified mag catch to Maverick with the caption “Look at this, and I am Swedish, Are your design team completely retarded?!'” :butkick:
P.S. would you like me to design a .35cal and a semi auto that actually works for you?

Love Ville

I’ll do that ! And i ain’t no Swede but a refugee ( due smallish incidents of sexual nature – The Uncle can fill you in ) from the great empire of Finland.

The fix for the mag holder/axle is a very simple one. It’s odd they missed it at the design stage .

Easy fix so you don’t need to keep that axle pulled back while changing mags.

How about an Edgun Lelya or Veles?

I donΒ΄t get the stock politics either. The WST was light and good looking stock. No more. :angrymob:

Agreed…

but Have you held a P12 Before? Mine shoots just as well as my compact did.

This isn’t a mine is better than yours… Its simple. For me the P12 Fits me better. The stock doesn’t jab me in the shoulder when shouldering it. ( i see someone came out with an adjustable buttpad)

I really liked my Cricket… there were only 2 things i had a pick with .. the stock butt pad and the magazine loading into the receiver. PAI..

otherwise great gun!!! probably wouldn’t of sold it. But i think i get a lot of gun for the $$$ out of the P12

πŸ˜† :12:

I just love it,,, You guys are funny,
My gun is better than your gun. I shoot fly’s off slices of watermelon at 25 yards, (25 Marauder) Not tried it with the cricket yet)
Not sure if I hit the fly’s but it put big holes in the watermelon,
Marauder.25 , 22 Cricket, 25 Cricket on the way, A P12 might fit right in, Its a lot lighter than a Cricket right Wingman..
I bet my Marauder is heavier that your Cricket,
