Q:

Cricket Victims-GRAPHIC

These are over a 2 week period. There’s an undeveloped lot across the street from my house…so before they build more houses I get a few gratifying ground squirrel kills. I posted on the Yellow and someone asked if I eat them??? Dunno maybe in other countries they can be eaten but I won’t eat any! I’m using JSB’s 15.89grain through my .22 Cricket

Those are regular tree squirrels that he eats. Nobody touches the ground squirrels. They carry a lot of diseases.

quote Sir Ville:

There are many rednecks in US that do eat them. It´s very common on some parts. I think even Ted in Madison does that since i recall i saw one of his video´s “How to cook a Squirrel”. Go check his Blogg. No – i´m not kidding on this !

I seen that post on yellow forum where he had asked you if you eat them? Apparentley he didn’t realize what these are or was being sarcastic! Good shooting those look like a blast to get rid of! we have ground hogs here in Indiana they get very large but are a pain, they dig under buildings and undermine everything is sight.

quote SECoda:

Where do those things (ground squirrels) live (what part of the country)? I am always looking to import unwanted but luscious pests to shoot. 🙂 They look like a speckled version of our grey tree squirrels which are in mass overpopulation here in Missouri.

They thrive in Northern CA. There’s no season for them either…if you’re lucky and you know someone who knows someone who knows a rancher you can take 100’s of them as they tear up the ground with burrows and cause cattle to break legs etc. I unfortunately don’t know that someone 😥

nice shots. Jsb 15.89 did the damage on Squirrels. No need 18.13. Hope to see your Cricket. I can get 5 megs with JSB 15.89 and 4 megs on JSB 18.13.
