Q:

Custom aluminum hammer spring knob for my Cricket

Here’s the custom aluminum knob that I ordered from Steve at TAG. I actually got it almost a couple of weeks ago. I just didn’t install it onto the gun yet. Thanks Steve!

The black cover is the old cocking knob cover that was on my spare Condor breech knob. I purposely put it on so that the black color matches the color scheme of the Cricket. It fits perfectly and the open end of the cover cuts off exactly at the last thread. I heated the cover to shrink it a bit before fitting it onto the knurled part of the knob. It now fits very snuggly.

How high do you need to go in speed? My cricket is adjustable from 230-285 meter/sec with original knob…

What are you going to do with the knobs? After talking to Bori at TG I decided not to order one. He convinced me you really need to get to the regulator to do any significant velocity changes.

Thanks Spinj for conatact to Steve. My knob is on way to me right now ๐Ÿ˜† Iยดm very happy and Iยดm curious if vanish spring twang ๐Ÿ’ก
Steve is serious & helpful guy.

We were importing them , but like Ed they had trouble getting them out of Russia and stopped , and like Ed they found a sollution unfortunatly we had decided to stick with Edguns by then so never went back to them , we do however have a Walnut .22 Cricket for sale , its Alex,s personal rifle (so its been fired about 4 times lol)
technically second hand but i think it could be for sale at the right price
Lyndon@edgun.co.uk drop me an email and ill forward it to him for you
(PS Alex if the boss of our little venture if you didnt know).

PPS crickets dont come with an external adjuster these are all aftermarket devices , thet have covers on the hammer spring that require a special tool to adjust that is enuff to satisfy uk law.

Thats nice we were going to do the same with the crickets we had 18 months ago over here in the uk , we could just never identify the thread used and didnt want to retap the rifle as, at the time we still had them for sale , it was by far the best and most obvious mod the cricket needed.
well done sir .

Lyndon

Did you have them (or have them?) available for sale none FAC?

As I understand external power adjusters are frowned upon especially in a gun easily capable of over 12ft/lb, this from an FAO for West Midlands.
