DE -pinger mod ???
I dont know squat about Modding and machining, but my understanding is that air in the bottle is forced straight back after the valve has closed causing a ping in the tank.
What I considered doing was to remove the valve, and insert some liquid rubber
into the bottom of the bottle
It would be like a molded piece of rubber in the bottom of the bottle .
do you think this could work?

i was on the hunt for depinging mod a few years back…until i realized the ping could not really be heard once your 10y from the shooter, and as mentioned the pellet in flight seems to make more noise….once realizing that i dropped finding a solution, and worked on getting the best out of what room is in the fame for an internal moderator in the SS
the .308 i made with a shroud was loud to the shooter….but if you where 50y down range all you could hear would be the slug in flight too….
so go shooting and forget about the darn ping 🙂

I was out squirrel hunting with my buddy and it was the first time I had someone else shooting the condor after getting a new moderator and I have to say the only thing I could hear from 10 – 20 yards away was the zing of the pellet.

When get off work in couple of days, I am going to try and put a limbsaver on my tank. I have a couple sitting in my archery pack.

Put a bunch of those little foam dinosaurs in the tank. The kind my kids used to put water on and they would grow )
Those little foam plugs work exceptionaly well, they get rid of the pinging noise to the shooter, it can still be heard by bystanders, unless they put them in their ears also.

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THE Rubber in the tank……. If you look some where on here I posted about doing it and like some kinda of dumb ass Well I did it.

And as for it Blowing up do to rubber and HPA………… Nope I wasn’t that damn lucky, I’m still alive, listening to the wife tell me how stupid that was and how much it’s going to cost.

i guess I’m missing the point…or just insipid…but i don’t understand why “depinging” is important (in the AF rifles) or if it’s necessary to the performance of the rifle. it doesn’t seem to hinder the performance or accuracy of my Talon.
i leave the foam on the outside of the bottle and that seems to dampen noises quite well as well as comfort the cheek weld.
i did “deping” my .25 Marauder but that operation took maybe five minutes, at most and was one that would not create a possible problem of detonation.
