Diablo withdrawl
I was going to sell my Royale 500 Carbine to rid myself of Diablo shooters.
However, I was offered a beuatufiul Rapid 2 in trade so I did that and have shot and sold it. So now I am without a Diablo shooterr.
In less than 2 weeks crows will be landing in a Doug fir at 80 yards from my window, last year maybe 12 died in that tree. The Haley while more than capable of killing them, and undoubtably the most effecient, has too much energy when it comes to earth so I have trouble using it and dealing with worry about where those bullets land.
I saw my first Tarantula a online auction site 3 years ago and fell in love with its lines, which as far as the rediculous lines of air guns, is classic at its best.
And I am Jonesing for a Tarantula grade 3 or 4.
In the vein of being a air gun cast bullet shooter, I want to embrace my classic wish for a truely classic rifle to kill those how do I say this eloquently? “Fucking loud crows with style”.
So I am looking.

The poison you mentioned would have dropped him like a rock. Too obvious for a healthy man, even in Asia.
By grinding his guts into shreds, it looks more like the effects of the numerous tropical parasites that infect 99% of indigenous people in that part of the world. For example “Tropical Sprue”, now that’s a nasty way to go. I knew an engineer who went to Tailand to work for a year and came back sick and was undiagnosed for almost two years. Finally, a tropical medicine specialist was visiting in Dallas when he was at the clinic and made a quick diagnosis. Takes forever to recover when diagnosed. Undiagnosed, eventually you die.

At the time it felt like I had a rat chewing its way acrossed my stomach.
That was during the day. At night I would get chills and break out into what can only be described as a cold sweat, then I would go into convulsions.
I would do this while fully conscience. Under such situations you can litterally feel your life slipping away.
I guess you can see why I am such a believer in hydro colonics, and this is coming form a guy who just does not like anything stuck up his ass and I am proud to declare at age 63, I still make noise when I fart.

Hummm, sounds like ground up bamboo to me RC. A few of my old Air Force buddies told me stories about it back in the 60’s.

If Crosman had addressed the issues they had, instead of denying them, I would own a 25 Mrod, those Green Mountain barrels are very good, the magazines are great, the gun desperately needs new wood, and you addressed that.

Here is the thing.
You probably know that the 22 Mrods don’t shoot very well. Crosman and their 22 MRod is probably the only rifle that has a cottage industry geared around replacing their barrels.
Yes I know some will chime in and say theirs shoot great, but scores do not, and the replacement barrels for them did not either.
Crosman knew there was a problem and still dumped them on the American shooters.
Enter the Rogue.
An absolute peice of shit. Again Crosman knew they did not shoot well, they knew they leaked and their support people did not know how to fix them.
And dear old Chip lied continually about it saying they were fine, so instead of fixing the guns, they paid for big time caged hunts and continued to dump flawed rifles again on the American shooters.
Chip while at first saying there was no problems with the rifle, now says the problems are fixed. He describes the rifle as a perennial favorite.
The definition of perennial is a plant that lives for 2 years and has no woody substance. Good choice of words Chip.
So yes I know the Mrod in 25 is a great shooter Dan, but I don’t do Crosman and I never will, it is the principle of the thing.
I refuse to do business with a company that knowing produces flawed products, lies about them and continues to dump them on the market while hard working Americans pay good money for them.

green mountain and american company makes the 25 barrels for the marauder .. that is the reason i bought this one i watched everyone else for a while … then knew the 25 was and eccelent shooting gun with a ton of people doing after market parts and tunning /modding ….

my mk300 career 22 … it took 3-4 guns threw pyramyd air before i got a none leaker -real shooter .. and i have had that one for some 8 years now that little bastard will ting the brass on a 410 shotgun shell at 80 yards with kodiak’s and it also shoots the cheap azz crossman premier’s out of the can from … walmart fantastic ! 😈 cheapest plinking there is at 7-8 bucks for 500 …. my sumatra 22 on low power shoots those dime size groups all day
using those walmart cheapy’s while i am plinking on my home range and when a bird or crow lands right in the trees next to my back stop …. all i have to do from my bench is aim up a little and SMACK ! 😈 hell i think someone puts bird seed out there ha ! ha !

Oh hell … Charlie just buy one of these 25 cals … you will not brake the bank and for about $433 using PYRAMYD-NRA discount … then you can cut grind the stock up … or get the ultra light synthetic stock …mine shoots dime groups at 70 yards ..25 cal.. 😆 … why spend a million bucks on a euro diablo 25.4 shooter ? 😉

It could have been what the gal used, she came from a small village nearby.
The night I got sick, I had announced to a couple of expats that I was staying in Thailand.
I was going to get a house a maid a BMW and hire a driver, and had the funds to do it. I had emailed my friends and asked them to move my household goods into storage, I had sold my mountain home but not moved out yet becasue it was snowed in by the time the deal went thru.
The expats had a fit. All three, one at a time approached me and warned me not t do it. They told me I would attract the wrong people, when I asked what they were talking about, they told me that I would attract women who would eventually poisen me and get me to sign away everything I owned.
A few hours later I though I was too late taking their advice and was going to die, I had disconnected the pohne aftr the gal kpet calling every 15 minutes to take care of me, and when I could not get out of bed, I could not call either. So I was really in a fix.
Those same expats, a Brit engineer who was there working on a dam and a retired american oil worker and his Thai/filpino wife got the Hotel staff to oen my door and they all accompained me to the Hospital, fine people and Prophetic too it owuld seem.
I may eventually do the move, I really like ChangMai, my wife wold not mind living in Thailand, esecially once she sees it. She has no desire to ever live in the PHilippines, having already experienced that brutal economy, but Thailand was always some place she was willing to go.
On the Edgun, I just can’t seem to bring myself to buy such a animal. I know they are truely accurate wonderful guns, but I just have never warmed up to the bullpup design.

I deleted an earlier post, because I didn’t think anyone would know about the “other” medical arts.
Causing sores to develop in a person’s bowl is an ancient way to kill people slowly, through peritonitis. The perforations allow the bacteria in the fecal matter to be absorbed into the person’s system and slowly, ever so slowly, the person dies from the anemia and systematic poisoning that occurs when open sores in the colon can’t heal.

By the way, since I’ve joined this nuthouse, I’ve owned and sold at least 15 guns, and some of them have been very high end. I never spoke of them because I didn’t know enough to post anything.
I believe in this hobby, you have to own and try out every gun that interests you. Just owning one won’t do it. You can never be satisfied with standing in place and watch others have all the fun. Stretching the limits is what this sport is all about.
Right now I’m selling my Air Ranger and getting a Cricket. I’d get an Edgun but I’ve been there and done that twice. I want a repeater bullpup with a cheek piece. I want a .25 caliber and no less than 45 fpe.
How do I afford to do this on a retirement savings? Easy, buy and sell, buy and sell, buy and sell.

It might be cheaper to get professional help instad of buying one, or I can hope the urge will pass.
It is a lot of money to spend to shoot a few crows.
The Royales were really great for shooting the crows, and my carbine is for sale again, Josh put a new shroud on it and reshaped the stock like he does with everything.
The shroud is one of his and it has a expanding shroud concept in that the carbon fiber outer tube can be pulled out to make it longer and quieter when needed, or pushed back to a semi quiet short shroud.
Or I can review Google earth and see what trees I can shoot crows out of where there is no houses for 2500 yards and take them with the Haley and the 257420 HP’s.
BTW, my Haley broke down yesterday.

Yep, i agree, the Rapids are consistently accurate but boy are they heavy. People say they are built like a tank but the forget to tell ya, it weighs the same as a tank too 😆
I too like the tarantula and had the opportunity to buy one years ago and i passed on it and got the Logun Solo instead. The solo was cheaper but i heard great things about them. So i bought it instead. I STILL HAVE IT TODAY…lol! But i still wonder what having the tarantula would have been like 😀

Actually and truthully, Hydo colon therapy saved my life after getting poisened in Thailand by a exgirl friend.
When it first happend I was in pretty good health and wieghed around 190 lbs. When I got back to the states I weighed 163 lbs and had turned a sickly shade of green and was deathly ill.
I went to a travel Dr in Eugene and they ran all sorts of tests, he first told me I had probably picked up a case of drug resistant amoebic dysentary that was rampant where I had been living, but there were no eggs or anything to suggest that it was organic in origin, and he finally agreed that I had probably been poisened.
It happend the day after I had broken up with her. She brought me some home made candy. I ate one peice and it tasted funny and I threw the rest away. That night about 3 AM I woke up with low back pain and a horrible migraine headache, I had uncontrolable vomiting and diarrhea that lasted two weeks.
However after two days I could not get out of bed and the hotel staff and some expat friends had to take me first to a clinic and then to a hospital for treatment which did not stop the problems, but hey did give me a IV to get fluids back in me.
Funny thing is I had a full physical in Bangkok four days before that and was in great health. The Bangkok hospital where I had the physical was the best medical facilty I had ever seen, the one where the hotel staff took me was the worst.
After I got sick the exGF was calling continually to come take care of me, I learned later from expats that this was a common thing for some of the Thai gals to do.
I timed the bouts of vomiting and diarrhea which would come on every 3 hours so as to catch a commuter jet, with no rest room, back to Bangkok and then to the states.
I was able to put weight back on but would get horrible stomach pain and chills and convulsions, and over a two year period it got really bad.
I started seeing a Chinese medical practioner, both professionally and personally, she was trying everything to keep me alive and admitted one night she though I was dying.
In a last resort she recommended the Hydo Colonic Therapy, which is basically getting a enema for an hour.
Now all that shit you see n the commericials about cleansing your bowels that comes out? Shit howdy, it sure came out of me. I saw things come out I had lost two decades before, sort of a so that is where I put that moment. 😛
I lost 7 lbs that first treatment.
After the first few treatments I bled for a couple days out my ass, I had some sort of open wound in my bowels, and as I got more treatments the bleeding after them gradully stopped. But I immediately started feeling better after the first treatment.
Eventually the pain, the chills and and convulsions stopped and I healed up. And I became a firm believer in the hydro colon therapy, I really think it saved my life.
BTW the 2nd brain you speak of is not in my bowels, it is and always has been in the head of my dick.
