AirForce will be introducing a new trigger group and safety at SHOT Show next week. The trigger is crisper and has less travel for cleaner shots while the new manual safety offers both the ability to set the gun to safe at any time.
Both the new trigger and the safety are designed for maximum quiet.
The new trigger group should start shipping on new guns starting in February.

The article did mention that other than shooting off a round sans target, you can disassemble the tank from the frame, release the safety, insert your least needed thumb, pull the trigger and develope the AF rendition of a M1 Thumb :thumb:

Yeah I just read that. I guess I better buy a few frames and some trigger parts now before they run out. Hopefully they will keep the old trigger parts in stock.
I know they don’t do the old collars anymore and the new frames are not even drilled for them.
Guess it might be time to make my own frame.
With their new safety you have to shoot the gun.

Now if a situation arises where you can not make a shot you have to carry around the rifle loaded.
We all know a safety can get bumped or just fail….. Why on Earth would AF take away the ability to make the gun safe by uncocking it?
Their answer to their saftey problem is either to carry it cocked and locked or shot it?

All they did is steal from TAG members and the guy that made the SuperSear, someone should comment on that. Innovation my a**, they would have stolen TTTA wouldn’t it be patented. The secret baffels are guarantied a design made by one off our members 👿
I had just finished reading that. So they finally got around to installing baffles themselves. And as RiffRaff has pointed out, the trigger assembly will not fit the old frames. I wonder if they got rid of the issue of the trigger flopping back and forth or do we still have to fix that ourselves?

I have a 17 inch barrel in my TSSS, the design that AirForce has decided to flatter me with by imitating.
I don’t mind but at the very least they could have called it the “Roachcreek Special”. 😉
And I am running one of Dyotat’s mid level valves, at 100 to 120FPE it sounds about like a stock 2240, so with a Condor valve it will be a little quieter, but certainly not backyard friendly, but here I shoot the Haley 257 and the Ranger 45 without a LDC as noise is not a big concern..
I have considered putting a 20 inch 257 barrel in it and shoot the same bullets that I do in my Haley 257.
Out of the dechoked 17 inch LW barrel I get 825FPS with Cedrics HP’s and a little less than that with the regular 257420 bullet, and in the 900’s with the 56 grain LBT. The problem with the LW barrel and the 257 bullets is that I have to size them down further than I should in order to shoot them out of the LW. But stil lthey shoot reasonably well at 150 yards.
If you had that Condor SS and Dougs valve and shot the LBT tapered bullet like Sub-sonnic, not our subsonnic but the Sub-sonnic on the Adventures site sells, you could shoot Kings and bullets without having to cut a lead in the barrel.
I really like my TSSS, meaning Talon SS-stretched, it should make a great rifle for them.

They should have made a saftey bar on the frame and get it out of the trigger guard altogether

One look at the gun in the example picture will tell you this. The pins are in different spots.
When I bought my condor in 2009 , i called for something and she refered me to this sight,
i told her i had already found it,
so the frame is longer , huuumm 💡
18″ so how much shroud does that leave room for, 6″ it looks like , thats not enought , well maybe , my shroud is 12″ , but only 6 ” is sticking in front of the barrel so ,
I think the trigger assembly will drop in. I never really had too many complaints about the AF trigger. I know it is not first class, but I never felt it hindered accuracy. Tony did “tune” my trigger years ago so I am used to that one and not a stock AF trigger.
I wonder how much they will sell that extended frame for? Wouldn’t mind getting one of those frames if it wouldn’t “break the bank”.
Yeah, it is obvious that they receive all their “direction” from TAG 😎 And why not, all of the innovators on this site work for free, what more could they ask for 🙂

It would seem that the steps in AF’s Research and Developement break down as the theft of TAG ideas is turned over to those who turn those stolen TAG ideas into reality.
Perhaps we should offer them a more direct course? Exlain what we are doing and how and why we did it in a direct communication with AF.
When I read the PA blog this morning I was tempted to post my feeling on the subject, however:
#1, I did not patent anything, nor do I ever care to
#2 If they can offer the concept of the lengthened frame so more can enjoy this concept, so much the better.
I just wish they had not tagged on their crazy impractical concepts, like a rifle that can’t be unloaed without the sacraficeing of a thumb.
Besidies, all ego aside, there are very few ideas that are original, and for every one of those who posts on these forums, there are probably 10 others who don’t post and have ried our innovative ideas long before we have. With the exception of perhaps Doug who has to be on the cutting edge of practical innovation, published on not.
