Just how many of you fellows develop a problem with you new gun just keep it quiet and between you and the dealer just to make things a bit more manageable. As soon as you bad mouth a dealer and you are asking him for him you have lost half of the battle right there. If you feel you have to post your heart away because you gun is not up to par then feel free to do so. I bet that really wants that dealer to help you out even more. I have had a couple of problems that ended up being very minor with a couple of my guns (PCP) and I never did mention it on the forum. Whey bad mouth the fellow that is going to help you make it right. Not good business. There are certain time when drastic measure have to be taken just be sure you know when to drop bombs.. they blow up in your face…

The “Man Code” states if you have a problem take it to the person you have that problem with and not with the peanut gallery. 😀
I agree with you guys and I have had a couple of experiences that I almost went to the forum to ask for help with an issue instead of the dealer. I decided against that and it was a good thing I did. It wasn’t too much longer after my experience that a friend or acquaintance I should say went to the forum and bashed the dealer. Well the fellow found out real fast that the dealer reads the forums also. Although the fellow did get his problem straighten out, it did take quite a long time if I recall… lol
if something goes bad, or is just not what you expected then you always talk to the person that sold you the part first. If he blows you off then by all means let the public know about it.
I would never post a problem until all avenues have been tried with a dealer. That would be very bad etiquette.
I once bought a gun from a dealer and when I got it I tried to shoot a .22 pellet from it. The gun was marked .22, I ordered a .22 but it jammed and would not shoot a .22. I had it for 5 minutes and my expensive PCP would not work at all.
I called the dealer and he had not a clue what was going on. I drove it a hour back to his shop. What we discovered is the gun while marked .22 actually had a .177 barrel installed on it. Since it had a shroud it was impossible to tell from looking at the muzzle.
The dealer ordered the necessary parts and fixed it.
I could of cried, bitched and moaned on the internet but the fact is the dealer fixed the problem and while it was frustrating it was not his fault, but was the fault of the factory in England.
you know I called a dealer last week and when I mentioned a name from this forum the dealer said he’s not a dealer and I said well if he screws it up do you want to fix it for me and he coldly replied no, I get the feeling these registered dealers do not like the modder out for himself.
No incident/topic even applies here. Just how many bitc about the dealers before their dealers hear a thing about it. I was shocked at some of the crap our builders and modders go through in order to provide a good product
Dad your a great guy, but I think your having a senior moment like us older folk often do, I know you have been thru alot lately and are probably fed up with the place, please try and realize there are alot of different types on the internet and right now you dont sound very positive or happy.

I agree that you should give the dealer/seller/whoever every reasonable opportunity to rectify the problem themselves before complaining about them.
If however they don’t fix or rectify the problem then by all means – post about your experience with them because not posting isn’t going to help you or anyone else.
I got burned on a non air gun sale. Until I posted that the guy had ripped me off no one else had complained and he had good feedback on a forum, but my post spurred about 12 other guys to come forward that he had ripped them off as well over the last year. Those 12 guys basically cost me $240 because if they had of just posted “this guy took my money and didn’t send my item”, then I and several others wouldn’t have dealt with him.
So long as the post is polite and factual then we also don’t need guys jumping down the posters throat because it’s their favorite dealer/seller/whatever either – I think that’s one of the biggest reasons why people don’t post their negative experiences.
