Is possible for a r3m .22 use .30 off center shroud? That could me .22 even quieter and short?

Hi, I’m new and just got my 25 cal R3M. Just wondering if anyone has tried this adapter tube but maybe 4″ – 6″ longer without the 1/2 x 20 threads, and maybe an additional baffle stack inside? I’m hoping to keep it looking unmodified.

Today I got Roy Kasten LDC and works very well with this adapter. My POI has not changed at all.

It’s quiet enough for backyard. It has 6 1/2″ x1 1/4″. http://www.tko22.com/

Don’t get the slip on shroud that Neil is offering. I have both the slip on and the screw on. The slip on does not torque the barrel enough to keep it free floating like the OEM shroud. If you need a moderator, I don’t see any option out there that beats John’s design. It maintains the original torque of the gun yet adds the option of the 1/2 x 20 thread for LDC. I have the .25 cal R3M and it is very loud even with an 8 inch LDC from Neil or Paris D it is still loud. What it does do is take the crack away. But to be backyard friendly, I had to reduce the fps to 760 and I can shoot without fear of the neighbors hearing. The .22 may not need an 8 inch LDC. They are a lot quieter than the .25. Keep in mind that Neil also offer LDC in plain black. You do not need to go with the carbon fiber pattern if you decide to buy John’s attachment. It’ll look better if you get the black one.

Neil Clague advises he no longer is making a threaded moderator for the R3M. He is only offering a slip-on version with set screws. Any suggestions on a moderator to use with this adapter on an R3M? Is an adapter and moderator advisable given the barrel design of the R3M?

I received back my baffle cover from John today. This is one is from his newest batch which has already been painted and shorter than the original. It measures a little short of 6 and half inch. From air tube it extends 1 1/4 inches.

Donny has an review on the adapter. He got the first adapter to try and he likes it.

Yes, I put an order from Neil Clague and it may take about 3-4 weeks. I’m still waiting.

I know it’s going to seem like forever to get to you. Post a review when you get it, thanks. I’m still looking

thanks for the update. Now to find a moderator.

Me too. I’m searching around for a short fat and light moderator ( about 6″ long, more than 1.5″ OD CF with baffles). For basement midnight Chrony testing, an Oil filter works good.

If you find a short, fat and light moderator ( about 6″ long, more than 1.5″ OD CF with baffles) please share it with all of us. I think many are looking for the same thing.

Thanks.

Neil Clague is always an option, but I think it’s a 5-6 week turnaround.
