Ernest’s moderator does not weigh enough to have any practical impact on POI. I used that same LDC on my .25 and I can assure you it won’t affect accuracy in any way. It WILL quiet that beast down! Mine worked to perfection. Easy on/easy off! Silence on command.
Mine is identical to the one shown. It’s 6.34 oz, 6″ long, 1.5″ diameter. I could not detect any change in point of impact.
I just lately found out Neil uses the latest “PFM” technology in his baffling, and more importantly the air release design, inside this moderator. (…not real certain he wants that known!)
Well worth the money!

Anyone seen my oil filter?
I just tried to shoot it with oil filter which is small one to keep light weight on the shroud. POI is not changed at all. just got very good shot on this one.
Using the filter for testing only, it may not legal for LDC. I’m not using it when going out for hunting.
I haven’t shot it yet but I do expect the some poi change. Not much though.
How much does POI change when you hang that second moderator off end of barrel? I know the weight of it has to move barrel down some.

Just received my adapter/tube. It is a nice precision machined piece. The paint is just paint. It matches the reservoir tube color very well. It looks like the paint needs to cure, so I will be careful with it for a couple of weeks. Overall, very satisfied.

Just the paint is not that good. but it’s better than just alum. color.
6.5″ is just one inch longer than stock shroud.
98% of US, UK and Europe AG LDC have female 1/2 20 UNF threads, I use HW, Logun, NC and Huggett .

Me too. I’m searching around for a short fat and light moderator ( about 6″ long, more than 1.5″ OD CF with baffles). For basement midnight Chrony testing, an Oil filter works good.
