Edgun 1862 Chrony String
Motivated by recent chrony discussions (after I had placed an order for the standard Chrony) I went ahead and ordered a Combro. It showed up yesterday and I put it to work.
First was a couple of 22xx variants – boy was I dissapointed in the mid 380’s from the 2250XT. Time for some valve work there…
Then decided to have some fun and pulled out the Edgun. Was again surprised by the numbers.
I will be adding to this post as I test with different Chronys and power adjustments, with both 18.1’s and 15.9 JSB’s. I’ve already given up on the CP’s – groups won’t hold past 20y in mine. Also going test the heavier JSB’s when I make my next pellet order.
This is new ground for me but the string looks pretty good, I think. Your thoughts are welcome.

But at lower FPS than many are seeing. That’s a trade I’ll make most of the time but I’ll do some testing anyway. I assume I dropped off the regulator as I approached shot 70.

That looks great Bean. Looks like you got about 70 very consistant shots before it starts to fall off. Mine seems to start dropping fast when I get to about 110 bar. Your velocity shows a little lower than mine but I am starting to think that maybe we are seeing variations from different people’s chronographs. I would bet that if you used my chronograph on your gun you would get results like mine. My gun is number 1870. I bet that the Edguns are more consistant with each other than the $100.00 chronographs that we are all using. I suggest using your chrony to measure how consistant your individual gun is, determine the BC for your pellet, and then plot a trajectory for your pellet. I saw a post on the yellow forum( I think) where someone used two different chronographs on the same gun and got about a 45 fps difference. I am starting to realize that as long as your gun gives you the number of consistant shots that makes you happy and keeps on hitting where you want it to hit then don’t worry too much about how high the velocity is.
